Discover the places you’ve always longed to see. Marvel at each country’s historic icons and scenic panoramas. England, Ireland and Northern Ireland, while home to perhaps the most trend-setting and international of European cities, also have some of the most beautiful countryside on earth. In Italy, you can see more than 2,000 years of history within one city, witness the genius of Michelangelo and DaVinci or visit an enchanting island city that defies reason. France shares with us the pleasures of life: excellent wines, awe-inspiring art and sumptuous food. Germany zooms ahead along its Autobahn, but stops long enough to raise a stein, sing a song and welcome the world. The Netherlands, with one wooden shoe in its charming past and the other in the innovative future, continues to enchant visitors with its iconic windmills, tulips and canals.
We welcome you to research European Travel Package by destination, or by clicking on our preferred travel partners. You’ll find a selection of tours, cruises, vacations and rail packages.

General Tours announced a policy of limiting their group size on all escorted trips worldwide to 16 to 20 guests on both Simply Affordable vacations and Affordable Luxury tour products. Because all General Tours departures are guaranteed, average group size worldwide is less than 12 passengers. Small groups facilitate a more leisurely pace & deeper interaction with guides. Without the typical crowd of 40 or more travelers, General Tours guests are immersed more deeply in the world’s most fascinating places, and experience more authentic encounters with exotic cultures, peoples and landscapes.
Also announced: Lower Prices in China… and the Best 5-Star Ship on the Yangtze Priced from just $2,499 per person, up to $200 less than last season, the 12-day Simply Affordable Yangtze Sampler Cruise & Tour has been enhanced with new 5-star hotels like the Sofitel Wanda in Beijing and the Shangri-La Golden Flower in Xian. In addition, guests enjoy a 4-night cruise aboard the intimate, all-balcony MS Yangzi Explorer, China’s finest luxury ship ever! Likewise, 2010 prices on the popular 10-day China Sampler trip are $100 per person less than this year. With new 5-star hotels in Beijing and Xian, this Small Group Escorted Tour is now priced from just $1,899 and features 18 meals, two internal flights and in-depth sightseeing throughout including the Terra Cotta Army in Xian, the classic gardens of Suzhou and a cruise on West Lake in Hangzhou.
Savings in South America On the best-selling Five Days in Peru trip, priced from just $1,699, travelers save more than $100 per person over 2009 rates for this Privately Guided journey including city-center first class hotels. Guests choosing luxury hotels like Cuzco’s famed Monasterio will save more than $400 per person over 2009 prices. Similar savings are offered on more extended itineraries like Peru Explorer, a 10-day Simply Affordable trip priced $200 less than 2009. Just thought I’d give you an update on our recent trip to Machu Picchu and the Galapagos. We had a wonderful and mostly uneventful trip. We were very pleased with General Tours and their attention to detail. There were tour operators to meet us at every airport, and they made sure we were always taken care of at our hotels and on our tours. The hotels were very nice and accommodating. We especially enjoyed the Inka Terra hotel in Aguas Calientes near Machu Picchu.
On the down side…..we were very disappointed in our cabin on the ship. I have reviewed our original correspondence, and we feel we had wait listed for the Renaissance suite. When you contacted us in July, that is what we thought we were upgrading to for the additional fee. Our cabin was small and dirty. We did have a nice sliding door that led to a very small balcony, but the rest of room was very small. Other guests that we met were on a lower level (2nd level) and they had much larger rooms complete with a walk in closet. Their view was limited as they only had port holes, but the room was much more commodious. Since we spent very little time in our rooms, it would probably be good information that you can afford any future clients so that they may make a decision about their rooms based on some facts. The crew and staff were all very attentive and polite, so we chalked it up to experience and enjoyed ourselves each day. The last day of the cruise, we were taken off the ship at 8AM, amused ourselves on land in a small town near the airport, then transported to the airport around 11AM. Unfortunately, the plane we were to board at 1PM back to Guayaquil was damaged, and we, the departing guests, had to wait at the airport for 6 hours until they were able to send another plane from the mainland for us. You should have heard the roar from the crowd when the plane finally arrived……we boarded, and were in the air in 20 minutes! There are no lights at the airport or at the terminal, so it was crucial we get in the air during daylight. It was a close call.
We have friends that are now considering doing this tour and we would like to get a breakdown of the fees, and maybe some available dates for them. Again, we really enjoyed working with General Tours and plan to use them in the future. One of the highlights of the trip for me was the train ride on the Hiram Bingham train. It was a wonderful experience.
Thank you for all your help. M/M Saunders

India offers amazing architecture and a culture like no other, but it also offers romance. Consider a luxury train like the Palace on Wheels and Royal Orient. Both recreate the Raj era’s dazzling decor and the romance of classic train travel en route to Rajsthan and Gujarat.
A wonderful example of Mughal architecture is the Taj Majal. The Taj Majal was inspired by love, shaped to perfection, and immortalizes one man’s love for his wife. Although the building is always stunning, the polished white dome takes on a special glow at twilight as the rising moon reflects off the intricately carved marble facade.
The Mysteries of India gives you 16 days to enjoy all the highlights of India with prices starting at $2,849 pp If you are looking for something shorter, the 7 day Incredible India package starts at $1,799 pp and is privately guided so you can enjoy traveling at your own pace with a private car and driver. This itinerary has a special departure in November for the autumn festival. Globus’ 14 day Secrets of India got rave reviews from one of our clients who just returned on December 24th.
