India Tour

India offers amazing architecture and a culture like no other, but it also offers romance. Consider a luxury train like the Palace on Wheels and Royal Orient. Both recreate the Raj era’s dazzling decor and the romance of classic train travel en route to Rajsthan and Gujarat.

A wonderful example of Mughal architecture is the Taj Majal. The Taj Majal was inspired by love, shaped to perfection, and immortalizes one man’s love for his wife. Although the building is always stunning, the polished white dome takes on a special glow at twilight as the rising moon reflects off the intricately carved marble facade.

The Mysteries of India gives you 16 days to enjoy all the highlights of India with prices starting at $2,849 pp If you are looking for something shorter, the 7 day Incredible India package starts at $1,799 pp and is privately guided so you can enjoy traveling at your own pace with a private car and driver. This itinerary has a special departure in November for the autumn festival. Globus’ 14 day Secrets of India got rave reviews from one of our clients who just returned on December 24th.

I have just come back from India Tour OIE 81201 (The Southern Extension was cancelled due to the situation in Mumbai).

Arriving late at night and tired after a 15 hour flight the Globus Rep. was waiting for us and took us straight to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Delhi. We were informed that we would meet with our Tour Director the next morning at 11:00 am. How wonderful it was to be able to get our footing before being wisked off. This definitely was a positive way to start this trip. Orientation went well and with all questions answered our group was eager and ready to start discovering India.

All the Hotels were great, including the food with only one exception the Trident in Agra which smelled of smoke and mildew and was at an out of the way location. This is a consensus from the entire group, not just me. However, the service at all hotels was impeccable.

The Itinerary was wonderful and extremely interesting and different. Because of fog we were stuck in the Varanasi Airport for six hours only to have our flight to Khajuraho cancelled. Of course this was no fault of Globus but how it was handled is what caused all the dissent which I am sure you are now well aware of. Everyone felt other options should have come into play and that Globus was just not prepared. We also got stuck in Jaipur due to fog but after 3 hours sitting in a plane it finally took off for Udaipur. We felt like prisoners and the lack of concern from our Director did not ease tensions. In both cases there was very little interaction from our Director.

Besides these mishaps the overall experience was A-One. I feel very confident in selling this product to future clients. The entire group were seasoned travelers and rolled with the punches. The biggest complaint was regarding shopping opportunities. We all wanted to go to the local markets not your overpriced Globus approved stores. Most of us just wanted some souvenirs for family and friends. With all the free time every afternoon there could have been plenty of opportunities if we were not rushed back to our hotels to do nothing.

This was the third tour I have taken with you and by far the best Globus product I’ve experienced. Thank you for letting me tour this extraordinary Country with you. Attached are some pictures reflecting sights and life in India.

India’s worth it at any price, and to sit quietly and watch the moon shing on the dome of the Taj is to die for.
