In 2011, Uniworld River Cruises, Viking River Cruises, and Amadeus Waterways will begin cruising Russia. The ships available are the River Victoria for Uniworld River Cruises, the MS AmaKatarina for AMA Waterways, and the Viking Pakhomov for Viking River. Each ship holds over 200 passengers. There are many activities to take part in on each ship, although none have pools, spas, or casinos. Each ship also has elevators that reach all decks.

The ship cruising Russia in 2011 for Uniworld River Cruises is the River Victoria. The River Victoria was completely reconstructed for the 2011 season. The ship can hold up to 206 passengers, and has six different room categories for the 93 rooms available, including two Presidential Suites, six Deluxe Suites, and two Junior Suites. The largest room, being the Presidential Suite, is 409 square feet, and the smallest, being a regular stateroom, is 210 square feet. The Presidential, Deluxe, and Junior Suites all have private balconies. Each room has a flat-screen television with a satellite, individual climate-control thermostats, and private bathrooms supplied with high-quality bath products. The ship also has a fitness room, massage room, and a library for its passengers to enjoy.  The Pushkin Restaurant serves traditional Russian cuisine, as well as international dishes. There is also the Katarina Bar and the Chagall Lounge where you can relax and enjoy drinks.

The MS AmaKatarina is cruising Russia in 2011 for Amadeus Waterways. The AmaKatarina was built from bare steel in 2010, and is launching in 2011. The ship holds up to 212 passengers, and has 10 different categories of staterooms, with four suite categories: the Imperial Suite, the Hermitage Suite, the Mariinsky Suite, and the Bolshoi Suite. There are 106 rooms, with 15 being suites. All staterooms feature bathrooms with separate shower areas, and are supplied with complimentary bottled water that is replenished every day. The rooms also include televisions, in-room safes, and a mini-fridge. Passengers will enjoy Russian cuisine that is served in the ship’s restaurant, as well as complimentary free-flowing wine and soft drinks at dinner.  Passengers can relax in the bar, Panorama Lounge, and the ship’s nightclub. The AmaKatarina may not have a pool or spa, but it does have a luxurious sauna and a solarium.

The Viking Pakhomov is from Viking River Cruises and will be cruising Russia in 2011. Pakhomov was built in 1988, and was completely refurbished in 2010. The ship has capacity for 210 passengers, and has 110 rooms. There are two suites, 20 deluxe, 80 standard, and eight single staterooms. The rooms include private bathrooms, televisions, individual climate-control thermostats, in-room safes, and free wireless internet access. Passengers may enjoy complimentary hot coffee and tea throughout the day. The Viking Pakhomov has two different restaurants, and two different bars. The Svir Restaurant has a capacity of 70 people, and has an intimate setting with open seating. The Neva Restaurant seats 154, and is livelier than the Svir, and also has open seating. The Sky Bar seats 80 people and is a great place to relax and watch the scenery, as it is located on the sun deck. The Panorama Bar seats 50 passengers, and is a nice place to relax with friends. The ship also has a library and sauna for passengers’ enjoyment, as well as traditional Russian teas and Russian cuisine workshops to take part in.
