The Celebrity Silhouette is the 4th ship in the Celebrity Cruise Line Solstice Class, and she has exciting new features! Chic changes to Celebrity’s iconic Lawn Club provide more opportunities to relax, eat, drink and socialize in the fresh air. Take a painting class with a Master Artist from the ArtCenter South Florida in The Art Studio. Celebrate the flavorful joys of outdoor grilling in the new, interactive Lawn Club Grill.
If you are familiar with the Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity Eclipse or the Celebrity Equinox, then you are sure to have spent time on the upper Lawn Club area. Well, the space that previously offered the glass blowing presentations, has now been converted to The Lawn Club Grill. It is a specialty restaurant, will be a cook-your-own-steak eatery. You’ll begin the evening by preparing your own flatbread appetizer. There are 5 flavors to choose from including Veggie, Sausage and Peppers, Margherita and BBQ chicken. You can also make your own creation with a choice of toppings from the salad bar area. You get to select who at your table rolls out the dough and grills it on the open grill. At some point you will be asked to pick your main entrees. Atlantic salmon, lamb chops, filet mignon, New Yorkip and bratwurst or examples of the options. Side dishes include baked beans, lobster mac and cheese, bake potato, rice and creamed corn. Then you can either cook the meat with the assistance of a chef, or the chef will prepare it for you if you prefer. There are also a selection of sauces and glazes for your meat. Dessert is made for you – carrot cake, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies or apple crumble. It is recommended that you make reservations in advance of your cruise if you are interested in trying this unique dining experience.
The Porch is a casual eatery with no additional charge also new to the Lawn Deck club. Here you will find complimentary breakfast and lunch daily.
The Art Studio, is a new venue on The Lawn Club that allows intimate, hands-on instruction from resident experts in drawing, painting, beading, drink mixology, culinary lessons, taste tests and chef-prepared dinners.
The Alcoves are a cabana-style private retreat on The Lawn Club for two to four guests. By day, filtered sunlight and breathtaking ocean views. By night, ambient lighting for drama and star status. A la carte foods and beverages arrive in picnic baskets. Alcoves are even equipped with Wi-Fi. Rental fee applies.
What itineraries will you find for the Celebrity Silhouette 2012?
From January through mid-April the ship will sail out of Bayonne New Jersey for 12 night Eastern and Southern Caribbean cruises. On April 22nd, the Silhouette will have her Transatlantic sailing to Rome. May through mid-August the ship will have cruises out of Venice and Rome visiting the Med/Adriatic coast. Starting August 22nd, the ship will over 12 to 14 night Holy Land cruises. On December 1st the Silhouette has a 15-Night transatlantic sailing to Ft. Lauderdale where the ship will then offer alternating 7 day Eastern and Western Caribbean cruise itineraries until April 2013.
