Details on New Norwegian Breakaway Cruise Ship

Big News!  You can now book a cruise on the new Norwegian Breakaway cruise ship for 2012. Here you will find an overview of the Norwegian Breakaway as well as some cabin photos to help you choose your cabin.

Not only can you be among the first to book a cruise aboard Norwegian Breakaway, the newest, latest expression of Freestyle Cruising®, but now you can also take advantage of free upgrades during Wave Season (now through March 31, 2012.)

This exciting new ship launches in 2013 and will sail roundtrip from the bright lights of New York City to the pink sands of Bermuda.  In the summer of 2013, the ship will sail to beautiful pink sand beaches of Bermuda. The Norwegian Breakaway will dock at King’s Wharf for three days, giving you the freedom to explore the beaches, golf courses, restaurants, shops and history at your leisure, and you’ll have three relaxing days at sea to enjoy all the incredible amenities of this world-class ship.

The Haven:  These private enclaves at the top of the ships are home to our most luxurious, well-appointed and spacious accommodations offering the utmost in service and elegance. The Haven guests have an array of amenities, including private butler and concierge service, poolside valet, and white table cloth in-suite dining to name a few.

Staterooms:   The overall design theme for Project Breakaway’s staterooms is “modern boutique hotel meets the sea”. The needs of guests were strongly considered when designing these staterooms. Guests will be greeted with an ambiance that is warm and inviting and has a very contemporary feel with clean, modern lines.

Project Breakaway staterooms combine the form and function of the line’s Jewel class ships’ staterooms with the modern and contemporary design touches of Norwegian Epic. Norwegian commissioned design group Priestmangoode of the United Kingdom and Tillberg Design of Sweden to design the staterooms for Project Breakaway.

Inside cabin:  Two lower beds that can be converted to queen size.  Chestnut leather headboard to make reading and sitting in bed more comfortable, 26 inch flat screen tv., built in vanity area with shelving, full-size closet, mini-bar.  Several staterooms connect to one another.

Ocean view cabin:  There are 158 total ocean view cabins on the ship. Cabins have a large picture window, two lower beds that can be converted to a queen size bed, chestnut leather headboard to make reading and sitting in bed more comfortable, 26 inch flat screen tv., built in vanity area with shelving, full-size closet, mini-bar. Bathrooms feature a contemporary, clean design with a private shower.  Family ocean view staterooms have a tub. Standard ocean view sleeps up to 4 people – the family stateroom can accomodate 5.

Balcony cabin:  King size bed that can be seperated into 2, with pillow top mattress, chestnut leather headboard to make reading and sitting in bed more comfortable, 26 inch flat screen tv., built in vanity area with shelving, plenty of storage with a full close with sliding doors, recessed nook under the television and within the sofa bed, mini-bar, LED lighting surrounds the perimeter of the ceiling to give the room warmth and bathrooms feature a contemporary, clean design with a private shower.

Mini-Suites:  King size bed that can be seperated into 2, with pillow top mattress, chestnut leather headboard to make reading and sitting in bed more comfortable, 26 inch flat screen tv., built in vanity area with shelving, plenty of storage with a full close with sliding doors, recessed nook under the television and within the sofa bed, mini-bar, LED lighting surrounds the perimeter of the ceiling to give the room warmth and large, modern double sink with two faucets complete with a mosaic glass tile backsplash and plenty of storage under the sink. Oversize spa-like shower with a waterfall shower head and multiple body spray jets, along with a seperated handheld shower head.

Spa Suite:  Tranquil spa decor with easy access to the adjacent Mandara Spa and fitness center, as well as complimentary access to the Thermal Spa Suite during regular business hours.  Cabin has floot to ceiling windows and a private balcony,.  There is an in-suite whirlpool, double vanity sinks, oversize spa-like shower with a waterfall shower head and multiple body spray jets, along with a seperated handheld shower head, guests have access to the Haven Courtyard area, private dining and lounge.  Butler and concierge services available upon request.  Sleeps 2 guests.
