Five Must Have New Travel Apps

1006

With so many apps out there, we like to take the time to point out any new or upgraded featured that travelers will find useful.  Here is our list of 5 Must Have New (or upgraded) travel apps.

1.  Fotopedia 4.0

Already a favorite, this new version is awesome. UNESCO World Heritage helped create this tool and we find this app to be the ultimate travel inspiration. Browse over 30,000 photos from all over the world, including 936 World Heritage sites.

2. Wipolo:

I personally still don’t like the Facebook timeline, but if you like sharing travel via Facebook, Wipolo is one of the companies they selected to work with. Add your hotel, car, cruise or flight emails into Wipolo, connect to Facebook and everything will be shared so you will be the envy of all of your friends. It’s also a nice way to keep track of all of your travelers, and Wipolo creates itineraries for you based on your confirmations.

3. Wenzani

This free app allows you to get recommendations from other users on hotels and restaurants, as well as free access to leading travel guides including TimeOut, Lonely Planet, Frommer’s and wCities.

4. Roadninja

This app is perfect for “co-pilots” on road trips. Have you ever traveled down the interstate and wanted to know what was coming up at the exits ahead? On long road trips how close is the nearest exit and is there anything to do there? This is a must-have app for road trips. Find savings, good food and hotels and the best attractions. It will display places up to 3 miles of the nearest upcoming exit. Tap on any business and get reviews. You can also do specific search for airports, retail stores, nightlife and restaurants. If you are not on a highway, then there is a NEAR ME function as well. App works in conjunction with Four Square and Facebook.

5. 360Panorama

If your iPad has a camera, you will enjoy this app. See your panorama shots come to life on your screen and when you’re done you can save or share via Twitter, Facebook or email. You can later view them as photos or 360 view. It’s amazing. Here is a good example – just click this photo with your mouse and drag right or left for a 360 view. The app is 99 cents but uploads are free.
