New NCL Escape Cruise Ship: Pictures, Cabins & Itinerary

2109

The new NCL Escape cruise ship will be setting sail for the first time in the fall of 2015. It will have many of the same features of the NCL Breakaway and NCL Getaway, but at a larger level. The ship is expected to be massive in size and weigh about 163,000 gross tons. Because of its large size, they will be able to offer passengers many different room types and amenities to enjoy while on ship. Total guest capacity will be 4,200. The NCL Escape cruise ship is set to arrive into Miami on November 15, 2015.

NCL Escape Cruise Ship – Cabins

There will be over 40 different categories available that can be put into 5 groups:

  • The Haven
  • The Spa Stateroom Experience
  • Family Accommodations (outside of the Haven)
  • Mini suites, balcony and ocean views
  • Studios and inside staterooms

The ship will offer the popular luxury suite complex called the Haven which is only accessible by key card. Staying in a suite in the Haven is bound to be pricey, but well worth it for travelers that want a little more privacy, exclusivity & pampering while they are on the cruise ship. This area will have a private restaurant, outdoor terrace, pool, sundeck and two whirlpools. Guests can take advantage of the 24 hour butler service or the concierge that’s just a phone call away. It’s being referred to as a ship within a ship. The number of suites that the Haven will have will be 55 on the Escape versus the 42 that the Getaway has. There will be 4 Haven Deluxe Owner’s suites that are 1,345 square feet, four Haven Owner’s suites that are just over 570 square feet, 22 penthouses and 25 two bedroom family villas that can sleep up to 6 guests  (540 sq ft.) There is also a Haven Spa Suite which is 309 sq. ft. and has an en-suite whirlpool.

Family Stateroom options will include Family mini-suites (239 sq ft), family balcony cabins (207 sq ft), family ocean view with large picture window (up to 340 sq ft) and family inside cabins (201 sq ft.)

The NCL Escape cruise ship will have an expanded Studio area. It will consist of 82 cabins that are 100 sq ft, which are only accessible by a key card and have its own private lounge. The lounge offers a full bar, two flat screen tv’s, video jukebox, Wifi and lots of seating and places to mingle with fellow single travelers.

NCL Escape Cruise Ship – Itinerary

Port Miami will be the Escape’s home port. It will sail an Eastern Caribbean itinerary. It will be sailing to destinations such as Nassau, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands and Tortola. Port Miami is considered to be the cruise capital of the world so the Escape will be in good company with many other ships. There is also a 10 day transatlantic sailing October 29th from London to Miami.

By far the NCL Escape cruise ship will be the largest ship in Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet of ships. The ship is expected to have a lot of interactive features, but all of these details are currently being kept under wraps. More information about this ship is expected to be released sometime this year. Until then we will just have to wait with anticipation.
