Anthem Of The Seas Coming To New York

Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas will be offering year round sailings from New York. The Anthem of The Seas was just unveiled in April and has been in Europe ever since. Because this ship is one of the most innovative in the industry, residents in and around New York are very excited that it will be calling the area home soon.

The Port And Destinations

Cruises on the Anthem of the Seas will depart from New York starting on November 4. Voyages will be anywhere from five to twelve nights and will destinations will include New England, the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Caribbean. The ship’s home port will be the Cape Liberty Cruise Port which is located in Bayonne, New Jersey. It is about seven miles south of Manhattan.

The Anthem Of The Seas Experience

The ship can accommodate 4,180 passengers and has 2,090 cabins. Of these cabins 375 of them have virtual balconies that feature HD screen that are from the floor to ceiling and offer real time views of the ocean. Other rooms include studio staterooms that have balconies, interconnected family staterooms, interior and ocean view cabins, mini-suites and suites. The ship has high tech features like robot bartenders. Passengers can participate in a variety of activities like the glass capsule called North Star that rises 300 feet above the water or a skydiving simulator. Passengers can also enjoy a fun zone called SeaPlex which is the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex that’s currently at sea. There are also activities like roller skating, bumper cars, video games and a circus school. Passengers can enjoy an adult only Solarium or one of the pools to cool off in. In addition to all of this, passengers can enjoy things like live shows, afternoon tea, Bingo and trivia games while on board ship. There are quite a few options for dining as well that include everything from sit down meals to buffets.

One of the biggest appeals to this ship calling New York home is that residents of the New England area don’t have to fly to places like Florida or Texas to enjoy a cruise. For some people, it will only be a short drive or taxi ride to get to the port. New York is really an untapped market when it comes to big cruise ships and the Anthem of the Seas will offer passengers a one of a kind experience without a lot of effort on their part.
