Exciting things are on the horizon for Holland America Cruises.
This include a partnership with O, The Oprah Magazine and new cruises to Cuba starting at the end of the year. Here is a little more information about both of these exciting opportunities for travelers.
The O, The Oprah Magazine Adventure Of Your Life Cruises
Since Oprah very rarely partners with anyone, this partnership with Holland America is a big deal. These cruises were created as a way to inspire guests to open their minds and uncover what their potential is while seeing new cultures and different places. There will be several cruises to choose from including sailings to the Caribbean. For those that want to see Oprah in person, she will be making an appearance during a cruise from July 15-22, that departs from Seattle. Guests will have the opportunity to reserve seats, that are complimentary, to see a live appearance of Oprah. Other cruises will include:
-11 day Southern Caribbean cruise that departs from Ft. Lauderdale on November 29, 2017
-7 day Tropical Caribbean cruise that departs from Ft. Lauderdale on March 3, 2018
-7 day Alaska cruise that departs from Seattle on August 11, 2018
-7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise that will depart on October 28, 2018 (port to be determined)
Guests will get to take part in a variety of wellness activities while onboard.
These include:
-Daily meditations
-An onboard book club where guests can discuss books handed picked by Leigh Haber, O’s Book Editor
-Activities that focus on healthy eating and learning how to make healthy food choices
-Fitness classes like tai chi
Cuba
The last time Holland America sailed to Cuba was over 30 years ago. They will be making a return to this country with sailings starting in December. Guests can choose from a 7, 11 or 12 day cruise from Fort Lauderdale aboard the ms Veendam. Some of these sailings also have an extended stay in Havana so travelers will have a lot of time to explore this amazing city. Itineraries for these cruises include:
7 Days- This Cuba and Western Caribbean cruise has 9 different itinerary options to choose from.
11 Days- Departing on March 17, 2018, this cruise features stops in Havana, Cienfuegos, Cozumel, Georgetown, Key West and Montego Bay.
12 Days- Guests will enjoy Havana, Cienfuegos and the Western Caribbean. Through an extended stay in Havana, guests will get to explore much of this historic area.
