What Theme Parks In The Future Will Look Like

Theme parks seem to be popping up all over the place. Many of them are trying to break records and offer park goers some of the fastest rides in the world. However, this isn’t all that these theme parks are doing. Many of them are developing new ways to make the experiences of guests visiting the park, even better. This is what theme parks in the future may look like.

Theme Parks Will Be Greener
It’s no surprise that theme parks use a lot of natural resources and produce a lot of trash from their guests. Theme parks of the future will be more mindful of this and will strive to be greener. They will focus on conservation efforts, use renewable energy and reduce water consumption.

Guests Won’t Have To Wait In Line
One of the worst parts about going to a theme park is having to wait in line, for sometimes hours, to go on a ride that’s just a few short minutes long. Theme parks of the future will eliminate these lines. While guests can currently pay an additional cost at some parks to skip the lines, this isn’t always convenient, especially for large families. In the future we can expect to see more parks use devices that guests wear on their wrist to save their place in line. They will basically just check into the ride and once it’s their turn, the device will alert them and the guest will go back to the ride. While they’re waiting they can explore other areas of the park. Universal’s new water-park, Volcano Bay has introduced these already and more parks in the future may follow suit.

The Food Will Be Better
Theme park food can be gross and expensive. To attract more guests, and to keep them from sneaking in their own food, we will see many theme parks offering its guests healthier, higher quality food. Many guests are willing to pay more money for food that tastes better and is better for them. There will be a lot more options to customize food items as well. Another interesting feature that we may see is that the food will actually be part of the attraction instead of being eaten in an eatery.

Things Might Be More Interactive
The more a ride offers a multisensory experience, the more enjoyable it is for park goers. In the future we might see rides that are more interactive. They will include experiences that make the rider participate in everything that’s going on around them. This will allow them to really get into the storyline of the attraction and feel as if they are apart of it.
