There are so many beautiful sites to see in both Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. How do you decide which destination to visit? Here are some highlights of both places so that you can decide whether or want to visit Argentina or Brazil.

Rio De Janeiro

You will definitely want to make a stop at Tijuca National Park. This park has the largest stretch of urban jungle in the world. Located in Floresta da Tijuca, this area features beautiful natural waterfalls and amazing views. It is definitely a site you need to see. Another stop you want to make is to Santa Teresa. This beautiful hilltop neighborhood is home to some of the finest colonial buildings in Rio.

Make sure you also check out Cidade do Samba. This space is dedicated to all things samba. It has carnival floats, costumes, samba dancers, live music and amazing food. For a true taste of what Rio has to offer, make sure to grab a bite at Confeitaria Colombo. This is a historic cafe-restaurant in downtown Rio. Even though it’s a restaurant, it’s also a tourist attraction all on its own. This is a great stop to take a break from all of your sightseeing. You should also check out The Museu de Arte do Rio. If you want a true taste of Rio’s rich artistic history, this is the place to see.

Buenos Aires

One of the best ways to get a great feel for the city is through one of the many tours that will take you straight to the highlights of Argentina’s capital. There are quite a few unique outings that will take you to points of interest like Graffiti Tours. While government officials might cringe at the blossoming art scene on the city’s streets, a guided, walking excursion of this unique and evolving art movement is sure to inspire you. Several bike tours are also available so that you can peruse the city at your own pace and take in the architectural and natural wonders that make the area so unique.

Don’t feel like walking? Buenos Aires is also world famous for it’s amazing culinary accomplishments. Take a tasty tour of the best that Argentina has to offer in some of the city’s amazing eating establishments like The Argentine Experience. You can also double your pleasure by combining a great food experience with a show. The culture is also well known for it’s famous dance: the tango! Be amazed by the professional dancers at Esquina Carlos Gardel or Cafe de los Angelitos while you dine on the best that Argentina has to offer.
