Cartoon Network fans will soon be able to sail on a cruise ship that’s geared just towards them. The 50,000 ton Cartoon Network Wave will be making its maiden voyage in late 2018. As you can imagine, this ship will have a lot of family friendly amenities. Here’s a bit more information about this new ship.
The Ship
The ship will be sailing from Singapore and will feature 800 cabins and will be able to accommodate 2,000 passengers. Each cabin will be themed around some of Cartoon Network’s favorite shows like “Ben 10” and “Adventure Time”. The ship will feature the first triplex suites in the world, which are great for those with large families or who just want to have a lot of cabin space. They will have two bedrooms and a play corner that can act as a third room for sleeping as well as a private jacuzzi and an in suite slide. Only two triplex suites will be available so if you want to snag one, plan on making your reservations well in advance. Onboard there will be 11 different entertainment decks to keep the kids happy. There will be themed nights, parties that feature the Powerpuff girl and circus shows. Decks will also feature numerous shops, pubs and cafes so that you can find something for even the pickiest little passenger. Bravo’s Place, an alfresco burger bar that will have Johnny Bravo theme, is sure to be a hit among passengers.
It’s Features
You won’t be able to miss this ship in the waters with it’s bright yellow paint scheme that will feature the beloved Cartoon Network star, Jake the Jog. His image will also be found throughout the ship as well as scenes from shows like “Townsville”, “Land of Ooo” and the “Bear Den”. Onboard there will be a rope adventure park to help kids burn out some of their pent up energy. Youngers ones will be able to enjoy the Young Tooniverse outdoor playspace. There will also be pools to swim in with elaborate artwork as well as plenty of outdoor space to roam around.
So far the ship is set to sail throughout the Asia Pacific Region. Destinations will include China, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand. Sailing dates and itineraries haven’t been announced yet, but they are expected to be announced sometime in the spring. Prices will start at $150 per night, pp and bookings will being later this year.
