West Palm Beach Cruises – Bahamas Paradise Cruises Adds 2nd Ship

West Palm Beach Cruises just got more interesting!  Those sailing out of the Port of Palm Beach will now have another option besides the Grand Celebration. The Grand Classica will be sailing out of West Palm Beach starting on April 13. The ship will hold 1,680 passengers as compared to the Grand Celebration which can hold 1,800 passengers. Grand Classica will be sailing to Freeport in the Bahamas.

Here’s a little bit more information about the Grand Classica, and why you should consider making your reservations now.

What To Expect

With the addition of this new ship, it’s expected that 500,000 passengers will be able to sail out of this port each year. Considering the fact that the Port of Palm Beach is fairly small as compared to other ports, this is pretty impressive. This new ship will be 52,900 gross tons. Grand Classica will sail on opposite days and cruises will be two nights. For those passengers that want to stay longer, they can opt for a Cruise & Resort Stay Package. This will allow them to stay as long as they would like at a hotel on Grand Bahama Island. The Grand Classica will have these features:

-658 staterooms
-10 passenger decks
-8 different dining options including The Yellow Elder, The Ocean View Buffet and Admiral’s Steak & Seafood
-A spa and fitness center
-A casino and a regal room
-An internet lounge
-A theater for live entertainment
-2 pools
-A kids club for children ages 3-17

This new ship will be a welcome addition to the port as the Grand Celebration is busier than ever. It was on hiatus for three months as it was being used to provide housing for first responders in the U.S. Virgin Islands after Hurricanes Irma and Maria. It’s been back at the Port of Palm Beach since December. In August 2017 a 10 year agreement was signed with the Port of Palm Beach and the cruise line. This allows both ships to sail out of the port for the next decade. While the Grand Classica isn’t sailing yet, they are taking reservations. This is a great deal for those that are looking to try out the new cruise ship, but don’t want to spend a lot of money or time to do so.
