The fourth of Princess Cruises Royal class ship is expected to be delivered in October 2019. The design will be similar to the 3 other ships in this fleet: the Majestic Princess, Regal Princess and Royal Princess. This 3,560 passenger ship will have a mix of things available on other Princess cruise ships as well as Royal class signature features.
Cabins
Around 80% of the cabins on this ship will have balconies. In addition to these there will be a new category of suites called Sky Suites. They will each have 270 degree views. This will allow the occupants of the suites to be able to stay in their rooms and watch Movies Under the Stars. Each suite will be able to accommodate five passengers and these suites will have the largest balconies on the entire Princess fleet.
Onboard Amenities
This ship will have a multistory Piazza atrium just like the other ships on the fleet, a glass walkway called the SeaWalk and the Sanctuary that is for adults only. All of this is in addition to the numerous other amenities on the ship such as the pools, the casino and Vista Lounge.
Dining
Passengers will be able to enjoy a wide variety of dining options. They include the signature steakhouse of the line- Crown Grill, Horizon Court Buffet, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria and the Wheelhouse Pub. For those that want to enjoy a fine glass of wine, Vines is available as well.
Itinerary
After the Sky Princess cruise ship debuts in 2019, there will be 10 departures with 8 itineraries. For the first sailing, the ship will go on a 7 night cruise to the Mediterranean and the Adriatic where it will make its way to Barcelona. Next it will sail from Barcelona to Rome on a seven night cruise. Once in Rome it will make its way back to Barcelona. Once it departs Barcelona for the last time it will make its way to Fort Lauderdale, which will be it’s home port. It’s is expected to arrive there in December 2019 and go on a short 3 night sailing to kick off it’s maiden Caribbean season. Then it will sail 7 night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from December 7, 2019 to April 4, 2020. During these seven night sailings guests can expect to visit places like Cozumel and St. Thomas. One of the things that passengers will enjoy is that there will be late night stays in several of the ports.
