In late 2018, ultra-luxury cruise line Seabourn launched their newest addition, the Seabourn Ovation. Along with its sister ship, Seabourn Encore, Ovation is the second in Seabourn’s Mega Yacht class of ships. Combining ultra-luxury cruise travel with exotic, alluring destinations, Seabourn Ovation guarantees to exceed your expectations. So, what sets the new Seabourn Ovation apart from other luxury cruise ships?
Attention To Detail
The “Seabourn difference” can be defined as a private club setting with impeccable, intuitive service where staff know your name and anticipate your needs. The larger, 600-passenger Ovation still retains the intimate, small cruise ship feel and world-class service that Seabourn is famous for. The layout of Seabourn Ovation is identical to Encore, but with a distinct feel thanks to the elegant interior decor by renowned designer Adam D. Tihany.
Like all Seabourn cruises, Seabourn Ovation provides an all-inclusive luxury cruise experience to exotic locations worldwide. Seabourn pays attention to every detail, with champagne upon arrival, complimentary premium alcohol and wines, and unlimited caviar available anytime. Each suite aboard the new Seabourn Ovation has a private veranda with oceanfront views. As always with Seabourn, tipping is neither required nor expected onboard the upscale Seabourn Ovation.
World-Class Dining
The new Seabourn Ovation offers more dining choices than the other cruise ships in Seabourn’s fleet, with several fine dining options to choose from. New to Ovation is its gelato program, with gelato freshly made onboard by chefs trained in Italy and served at various locations on the ship. The new pop-up venue, Earth & Ocean, transforms from poolside grill by day to alfresco casual dining under the stars by night.
The Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and formal dinners. The Colonnade is a buffet open for breakfast and lunch and has casual dinner service in the evenings. Seabourn Ovation also continues the tradition of The Grill, a steakhouse by 3-star Michelin chef Thomas Keller. All restaurants are open seating and available at no additional fee, however The Grill is reservation-only.
Onboard Amenities
Seabourn Ovation offers many amenities with luxury in mind, including a small casino, fitness center, luxury shopping boutiques, lounges and bars, and a pool and lounge area. The Coffee Bar serves specialty coffee and has a Library and Computer Center with high-speed internet access.
The Spa at Seabourn offers various massage treatments, a steam room, sauna, thermal suite, as well as beauty services. Seabourn also has a partnership with wellness expert Dr. Andrew Weil, with workshops available during your cruise. The Grand Salon is where Seabourn Ovation holds enrichment lectures by day and a 6-piece band plays at night.
The Retreat
The pièce de résistance of the new Seabourn Ovation is a reservation-only outdoor oasis with all the amenities you could want. Located on the top deck, The Retreat offers 15 private cabanas fully stocked with your favorite beverages and a flat-screen TV. Pampering spa treatments are available in your cabana, as well as champagne and signature cocktails. The Retreat also boasts a 9-hole golf putting green, shuffleboard, and a giant chess board, as well as a dedicated Concierge. A private cabana at The Retreat can be reserved with the Guest Service Specialists located at Seabourn Square for an additional fee.
Exotic Itineraries
Seabourn also has a partnership with UNESCO, curating unique voyages you will never forget. Some of Seabourn Ovations upcoming itineraries include St. Petersburg and The Baltic, Thailand and Vietnam, and Pearls Of Arabia and India.
