Carnival Mardi Gras Cruise Ship

1605

When the ship is delivered in 2020, the 180,000 gross-ton Mardi Gras cruise ship, will be Carnival Cruise Line’s biggest ship, carrying more than 6000 guests on seven-day Caribbean voyages.

To make sure the guests do not feel crowded or caught in long lines, Carnival has been hard at work engineering the flow of passengers around the  15 deck vessel. Guests will not be all upstairs during the day and downstairs at night. There will be activity & venues throughout the ship.

To accomplish this there will be 6 distinct zones featuring brand new experiences: Grand Central, French Quarter, Summer Landing, La Piazza, Lido and the Ultimate Playground.

The Mardi Gras will have three family-centric cabin areas, the Family Harbor Lounge, along with Camp Ocean and Dr. Seuss Bookville. These areas will be located on the lower decks, freeing space for other attractions up top. The spa will also be located on the second lowest deck of the Mardi Gras with treatment rooms with ocean views. Deck 6 will have the fitness center, also with ocean views. In the past many of these venues were located in upper decks.

Guy’s Burger Joint will be grouped with Club 02 and Circle C kids areas. Emeril’s Bistro 1396 will be located in the French Quarter where you will find plenty of shops, bars, a jazz club and can enjoy classic cocktails like the Hurricane straight from the bayou.

The novel atrium was also designed with people flow in mind. The atrium is oriented toward a large, three deck window-wall on the starboard side of the ship. While allowing for incredible ocean views, the setup also allows for a pass-through on the port side.

A narrow promenade deck encircles the front half of the ship, coming to dead ends at a restaurant on one side and the atrium on the other. There are also more ways to get between decks on the Mardi Gras. Staircases interconnect Decks 6, 7 and 8 to give different areas  with connectivity between spaces.

New to Carnival, the ship will offer family feud live. Each sailing will have 4 unique games on an authentic family feud set….with buzzer and all. Bolt will be the ultimate sea coaster. Strap in and zoom your motorcycle-style machine around an open air cruise high above sea level. Mardis Gras will offer a full range of suite options for superior comfort and brand-new perks.
