Eye of the Emirates – United Arab Emirates
Located in the Al Qasba amusement park near Dubai, the Eye of the Emirates is one of the most famous Ferris wheels in the world.  This massive observation wheel sits nearly 200 feet over the Al Khan Lagoon and offers breathtaking views of the Persian Gulf and the world-famous skyscrapers of Dubai in the distance.  The Eye of the Emirates features air-conditioned cabins to escape the desert heat and each ride lasts about 10 minutes…just long enough to get some great pictures for Instagram! High Roller – Las Vegas, USA
The High Roller, located at The LINQ hotel is famous for being the world’s tallest Ferris wheel.  At a staggering 550 feet high, the High Roller gives passengers a 30-minute ride over Las Vegas and offers unique add-on experiences to your ride such as chocolate tastings, yoga lessons, and an open bar in your cabin as you take in the sights high above Vegas.  The High Roller lights up at night with over 2,000 LED lights and features 28 cabins that can hold up to 40 people each. 

The Singapore Flyer – Singapore
Another famous Ferris wheel is the Singapore Flyer.  At over 540 feet high, it is the tallest Ferris wheel in all of Asia and one of the tallest in the world.  Passengers get a 30-minute experience with views of the South China Sea, as well as some Malaysian and Indonesian islands in the distance. This unique Ferris wheel is famous because it doubles as the largest clock in the world.  The face of the Ferris wheel is a real, functioning clock.  The Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel is located in Yokohama, Japan and features different themed gondolas complete with unparalleled views of Yokohama Bay, as well as the skyscrapers of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji in the distance as passengers enjoy the 15-minute ride.

Wiener Riesenrad – Austria
The beloved Wiener Riesenrad in Vienna is the world’s oldest Ferris wheel still in operation.  It was built in 1897 and is located at the oldest amusement park in the world, the Prater and is one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions.

Niagara SkyWheel – Canada
One of the best ways to view the Niagara Falls is from the Niagara SkyWheel located on the Canadian side of the falls.  The Niagara SkyWheel stands nearly 200 feet high, so passengers get one of the most unique sightseeing experiences of the Niagara Falls, with views of the Horseshoe and American Falls as well as the Niagara River Niagara Parks.  The cabins have heating and air-conditioning, enabling visitors to get breathtaking views year-round.

London Eye – United Kingdom
Probably the most famous Ferris wheel in the world is the London Eye, located along the River Thames in London.  At just over 444 feet, it is the tallest Ferris wheel in all of Europe and provides guests with unique views of many of London’s famous landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and more during the 30-minute ride.  The London Eye was designed with 32 cabins, one to represent each of London’s 32 boroughs and is the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom.
