This list is focused on the best scary Halloween Movies on Netflix 2020.

Poltergeist (1982)
Malevolent otherworldly forces invade a suburban home and transform the house into a supernatural sideshow centered on the family’s young daughter.

The Addams Family (1991)
Angelica Houston, Christina Ricci, and Christopher Lloyd star in the 1998 version of this dark comedy.

The Silence (2019)
A Netflix original starring Stanely Tucci and Kirenan Shipka is based on the book The Silence. With the world under attack by deadly creatures who hunt by sound, a teen and her family seek refuge outside the city and encounter a mysterious cult.

Hubie Halloween (2020)
This Netflix original starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James & Julie Bowen looks like an interesting mix of comedy & suspense.

The Open House (2018)
Another Netflix original movie. The slogan is “You can’t lock out what’s already inside.” Reminds me of the old movie when a Stranger Calls that was in the house the entire time! In this movie, a teenager and his mother find themselves besieged by threatening forces when they move into a new house.

The Perfection (2018)
Perhaps the most suspenseful and shocking of all Netflix original films currently available, this movie stars Alison Williams & Logan Browning. When troubled musical prodigy Charlotte seeks out Elizabeth, the new star pupil of her former school, the encounter sends both musicians down a sinister path with shocking consequences.

Sleepy Hollow (1999)
Directed by Time Burton, Johnny Depp stars as detective Ichabod Crane, sent to a small town to investigate a series of beheadings.

A Haunted House (2013)
If you are a fan of Scary Movie, you will enjoy this spook making fun of scary movies starring Marlon Wayans & Cedric the Entertainer. Malcolm and Kisha move into their dream home, but soon learn a demon also resides there. When Kisha becomes possessed, Malcolm – determined to keep his sex life on track – turns to a priest, a psychic, and a team of ghost-busters for help.

Eli (2019)
An 11-year-old boy is checked into a clinic (or is it a haunted house?), where he’s supposed to receive an experimental treatment for an auto-immune disorder.

Would You Rather (2012)
A popular adult game turns deadly.

Truth or Date (2018)
Based on another popular game, a group of teens rents a haunted house on Halloween and find themselves in a gruesome game.

Insidious (2010)
Two parents think they’ve left their troubles behind when they move out of a haunted house. Turns out, they brought the problem with them—and it’s their son.

Other popular movies include In the Tall Grass, The Babysitter, Fractured, Apostle, Eerie, Gerald’s Game, It Comes at Night, Don’t Knock Twice, Candyman (one of the scariest movies I watched as a teenager,) & Vampires vs. the Bronx.

You can binge-watch plenty of shows on Netflix including American Horror Story, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Dexter, Ratched, Bates Motel, iZombie, and Stranger Things.
