Within Queen Elizabeth’s sleek lines, the lavishness of eras past meets the thrilling future of ocean travel. Welcome, then, to the next elegant chapter in Cunard history.
The Queen Elizabeth will be 90,000 tons and can accommodate up to 2,092 passenger. The ship is intended to remind cruisers of both the original Queen Elizabeth from 1938, as well a the recently retired Queen Elizabeth II. New features will include an open air dance floor, as part of a new Supper Club. There will also be a special dining area for premium balcony cabin passengers called the Britannia Club. Like the Celebrity Solstice class ships, there will also be a grass area used for things like bocci ball, putting and lawn bowling. Most distinctive of all, of course, is the line’s legendary White Star Service for which Cunard is renowned. Onboard, guests revel in the luxury of time, experiencing such Cunard hallmarks as traditional afternoon tea served by white-gloved waiters, an engaging variety of intellectual and stimulating pursuits – including fencing – and extraordinary dining rivaling the finest restaurants in the world.
The ship’s maiden voyage will be October 12th – 25th on a 13 night cruise out of South Hampton visiting Iberian Harbours and the Canary Island.
