Sneak Peak At The Most Exclusive U.S. Ski Resorts

If you are going to go skiing, you might as well do it right. In order for a ski resort to be considered exclusive, it has to offer guests a lot more than hot chocolate and a cozy fireplace. Some of the country’s most exclusive ski resorts only allow a limited number of people in them each day and are geared towards celebrities or those just that want to feel like one while they are on the slopes.

Sun Valley, Idaho
This ski resort is not only exclusive, but luxurious and romantic as well. One of the big perks of coming here isn’t necessarily the slopes (although they are fabulous), but the luxury lodges. Guests staying at one of these lodges can enjoy things like a horse drawn carriage ride to the Trail Creek Cabin to grab a bite to eat. Celebrities that have come to Sun Valley include Ernest Hemingway and Clint Eastwood.

Deer Valley, Utah
One of the things that makes this ski resort so exclusive is that the number of tickets sold per day is limited. Visitors don’t have to worry about crowds or having to wait in long lines to go down the beautifully manicured runs. There are also heated sidewalks to keep your feet warm, tissues at the lifts to wipe a runny nose and free ski valets so you don’t have to exert yourself.

Telluride, Colorado
What makes this ski resort so exclusive is the amount of celebrities that go here. It’s all about the skiing and tourists like Oprah Winfrey and Tom Cruise prefer this resort as it allows them to “blend in” with the non-famous crowd. It’s home to numerous music, art and film festivals throughout the year so the resort is always buzzing with activity. If you want to get some extra pampering, you can also stay in the penthouse suite at the onsite Lumiere Telluride hotel for around $1,150 per night. You will have your own private hot tub and a chef to prepare your dinner.

Beaver Creek, Colorado
This is one of the most popular ski resorts for celebrities to visit. In addition to the slopes there’s an ice skating rink, art galleries, hotels and condos. One of the things that sets this ski resort apart are the amenities like the covered escalator and the “outdoor living room” to sit down and rest at. There are 25 different lifts and over 1,800 acres of skiable terrain at Beaver Creek.
