Carnival Vista recently debuted. It is Carnival’s largest ship to date. It measures at 133,500 gross tons and can hold close to 4,000 passengers. This massive ship has a lot to offer travelers.

Cabins

This Carnival Vista has all the usual cabin choices like inside, outside and balcony staterooms. They also debuted two new cabin classes: the Havana Cabanas and the Family Harbor cabins. The Havana Cabanas are located on Deck 5 and have private outdoor patios. There is also exclusive access during the day to the Havana pool for those staying in these cabins. The Family Harbor cabins are located on Deck 2 and can accommodate up to five guests. The cabin’s lounge area has a curtain to give guests a bit of privacy from the main bedroom to the lounge area.

Food And Drinks

There are two main dining rooms onboard the Carnival Vista: Reflections and Horizons. In the Horizons dining room there is a small bar that’s perfect for pre-dinner drinks. This concept is a first for the line. There is also a favorite among guests: a Lido buffet. A new restaurant made its appearance: the Seafood Shack. It features everything from lobster rolls to crab cakes. A la carte lunch and dinner dining options start at $4. Other eateries onboard include Guy’s Burger Joint, Cucina del Capitano, Fresh Creations and Ji Ji Asian Kitchen. For those wanting to relax and have a drink there is the new RedFrog Pub. It features a variety of beers on tap as well as brewery tours and tastings. The Havana Bar has cocktails and light fare during the day and transforms into a Latin dance club at night. There is also the Alchemy Bar, Techila Bar, Library Bar, BlueIguana Bar and RedfFrog Rum Bar. Overall there are more than 20 drinking and dining options for travelers to choose from.

Activities And Amenities

Passengers can enjoy a whole host of activities on the Carnival Vista that are geared towards both adults and children. Carnival favorites like SkyRide and SkyCourse are both part of SportSquare. There is also the line’s largest water park, WaterWorks, that features 455 feet of water tube fun on the Kaleid-O-Slide. For a tamer time, there are three pools located on the ship. For guests that want to spend time indoors there is the Clubhouse that offers video games, Ping-Pong, arcade basketball and mini-bowling. This ship also debuted the Carnival Multiplex. It features a first at sea IMAX theater as well as a Thrill Theater. For the grown-ups there is the Punchliner Comedy Club that has both kids and adults only shows. For those that need a little bit of pampering they can visit the Cloud 9 Spa. It offers everything from Turkish baths to a thalassotherapy pool. Not only is there a fitness center for those that want to stay in shape while onboard, there is also another first to the line experience: massage huts. This ship has more outdoor spaces for passengers to enjoy than any of the other Carnival ships.

Various Itineraries

The Carnival Vista will be the first Carnival ship in three years to set sail to Europe. They will offer 8-13 day Mediterranean sailings. Ports of call include Turkey, Croatia, France, Italy and Spain. On November 3 the ship will arrive in New York City and will offer a two-night cruise to nowhere and then a 10-night Eastern Caribbean cruise. After that it will offer Southern Caribbean Cruises and Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises as well. More itineraries are expected to be announce in the late Spring of next year.
