Following passage of the Alaska Tourism Restoration Act, our work with Alaska government officials, and recent guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), several cruise lines are announcing a return to service in the United States with a partial season of Alaska sailings from Seattle.

Princess Alaska Cruises 2021

Princess Cruises…Departing July 25 through September 26, 2021, Majestic Princess® (a MedallionClass® ship) will sail a modified 7-day Inside Passage cruise featuring Glacier Bay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These Sunday departures will sail roundtrip from Seattle and open for sale on May 21, 2021. Plans for these itineraries to fulfill Princess Cruises‘ obligations under the Passenger Vessel Services Act (PVSA) are expected to be approved, as are final instructions from the CDC.

Dining, entertainment and shore excursion details are currently being finalized and will be released in the coming weeks.

Do you have to have a vaccine to sail on a Princess Alaska Cruise? Yes. These Princess cruises to Alaska are available for guests who have received their final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the beginning of the cruise and have proof of vaccination. Crew vaccinations will be in accordance with CDC guidelines.

To accommodate this restart, the following cruise vacations are being cancelled:

• 7-day Alaska Inside Passage cruises on Emerald Princess® (July 3-September 18)7-day Alaska Inside Passage cruises on Majestic Princess® (July 4-18)

• 7-day Northern California Coast on Emerald Princess (September 25)

we are announcing our plans to restart cruising to Alaska with 10 roundtrip Seattle cruises to Alaska later this summer. Voyages will set sail on Nieuw Amsterdam on Saturday, July 24, 2021 and run through September 25, 2021.

These new cruises are open for sale now. Call 800-942-3301 for assistance.

Holland America Alaska Cruises 2021

For Holland America Cruises shortened Alaska summer season they will be sailing one ship, Nieuw Amsterdam. She will be sailing the 7-Day Alaska Explorer voyages that begin and end on Saturdays.

Alaska Explorer cruise: Like prospectors of old, your journey to the Great Land begins in Seattle, a city known more today for coffee and tech than as a jumping-off point for Gold Rush frenzy. Your first destination is Juneau, where you can ascend up the Mount Roberts Tramway to get incredible views of the city or whirl away by helicopter to Mendenhall Glacier for a thrilling hike across the icy terrain. Next, while cruising Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve, survey hundreds of tidewater glaciers and listen for the sounds of calving ice that the native Tlingits call “white thunder.” If that’s not enough excitement for one day, spend your evening whale-watching from Icy Strait Point. From there, take in the rugged beauty surrounding Sitka on a remote fly-fishing excursion or a hike through the Tongass National Forest. Then, in Ketchikan, learn the meaning
behind local totems from a Tlingit elder and visit a working Native carving house before starting your
scenic journey back to Seattle.
