We wanted to share with you all the recent updates from Crystal Cruises. Crystal Cruises announced they have updated health and safety protocols, which require that all passengers are fully vaccinated at least 14 days before their cruise. Passengers will have to offer proof of vaccination in order to board. 

Here is an overview of what’s new with Crystal Cruises 2021 and 2022.

  • Crystal Mozart is returning to the river cruise fleet in 2022
  • Expanded itinerary options available on Crystal Mahler
  • Crystal Endeavor had its first sea trial last week
  • Crystal Serenity begins sailing from Nassau on July 3, 2021 with a series of 7 day departures through October 2021
  • Payments of pending refunds and commissions are ramping up

Crystal Mozart

  • Crystal Mozart will have 38 suites for solo travelers, with no single supplement – category W1 – spacious 219 sq. ft. – starting at $3599 p.p.
  • Passenger # has been decreased to 120 guests, with 82 staff
  • Mozart itineraries will be Vienna round trip, Monday departures – which makes it the perfect choice for honeymooners and Jewish Heritage tours
  • Mozart will offer shorter 7 night Holiday sailings.

Crystal Mahler

  • Offering new itineraries – Floriade spring cruises – an event that occurs once every 10 years
  • 5 night cruises, mid- July – September,  Amsterdam to Trier.  Perfect for younger cruisers and charters with pre or post options to Reims – Champagne region
  • Fall 10 day voyages Rhine and Moselle – wine season – with overnights in Amsterdam and Strasbourg (NB) and Amsterdam and Bernkastel (SB)

Crystal Endeavor

Crystal Serenity – 7 day Bahamas Cruises starting on July 3rd, 2021

Ports of Call:

  • Harbour Island, called the Nantucket of the Caribbean with its colorful New England architecture and famed for its Pink Sand Beach. The island is a former capital of The Bahamas and has been twice recognized as The Best Island in the Caribbean by Travel + Leisure magazine. Guests can also discover Preacher’s Cave, Glass Window Bridge and Sapphire Blue Hole on North Eleuthera Island;
  • Great Exuma, the largest of the 300+ islands and cays of the Exumas, home to waters so stunning they can be seen from outer space and the famous swimming pigs. Guests can island-hop among pristine isles, snorkel gorgeous reef-fringed cays, escape to secluded beaches and hidden caves, enjoy an ATV adventure and dive clear waters;
  • San Salvador Island, featuring more than 50 dive spots and splendid beaches. Guests can hike up to Watling’s Castle ruins and gaze out at French Bay from the lookout tower; also they can visit the first landing spot of Christopher Columbus, marked by an iconic stone cross;
  • Long Island, an 80-mile-long island straddling the Tropic of Cancer and known for its white-sand beaches, technicolor waters and lush greenery. Guests can explore the geological and ecological exploration of Hamilton’s Cave and Dean’s Blue Hole and enjoy some of the bluest waters in the islands at Gordon’s Beach.

Crystal Cruises will homeport a second ship in the Caribbean this summer. The Crystal Symphony is set to sail 10-day cruises out of St. John’s, Antigua beginning August 5th and running through December. She will visit Barbados, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Maarten and the British Virgin Islands.

Charles Fernandez, the minister of tourism for Antigua and Barbuda said the movement represents a milestone in reinvigorating tourism, as well as deep support of the island communities’ economy.

With the Crystal Symphony sailing out of Antigua, the Serenity launching from the Bahamas and the Crystal Endeavor cruise ship sailing from Iceland, 97% of Crystal’s fleet will be in service this summer.

Other luxury cruise lines have recently announced sailings from outside the U.S. for vaccinated adults. Silversea Cruises 2021 will resume operations in the Greek Islands, as well as Seabourn Cruises.
