Royal Caribbean Updated Protocols After September 5

The time has come for Royal Caribbean® to welcome all adventurers back onboard!

Beginning with sailings departing on September 5th, 2022, they are welcoming all guests, regardless of vaccination status, on cruises departing from U.S. homeports – excluding itineraries visiting Canada and Bermuda, and also Transpacific sailings

Should there be any changes to this guidance, Royal Caribbean Cruises is committed to keeping you informed. Provided below are additional details.

Vaccination Recommended

  • If eligible, we recommend that everyone cruising with Royal Caribbean be fully vaccinated against COVID‐19. While vaccination is not required, we kindly ask all guests to disclose their status during check-in to ensure we maintain a highly vaccinated onboard population.

Testing

  • Unvaccinated guests ages 5 years and older must present a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 3 days of their sail date.
  • For sailing lengths of 9 nights or less, vaccinated guests, regardless of age, no longer need to test.

Accepted Tests

Guests can now take advantage of at-home antigen tests (even unsupervised ones!) to satisfy this requirement.

Proof of a negative test can be the printed or digital results, a clear photo of the self-test result, or the actual self-test in hand.

2022 Sailings Visiting Canada

  • While requirements for sailing have changed for some destinations, Canada’s local regulations and requirements are still in place and the vaccine and testing requirements for your sailing remain unchanged.

2022 Sailings Visiting Bermuda

  • While requirements to sail have changed for some destinations, most of Bermuda’s local regulations and requirements are still in place.
  • This means that guests’ vaccination and pre-cruise testing requirements remain unchanged.
  • The good news is Royal Caribbean has removed boarding day testing, and any debark testing for sailings that end in the U.S.

As a reminder, if you have unredeemed Future Cruise Credits, now is the best time to book! With only a few days left, be sure to take advantage of the bonus of $100 in onboard credit when redeeming your FCC through the end of August!
