Giving cruisers a bit different option, when cruising to the Bahamas, the ship will dock at the Beach Club in Bimini. See-through water and sandy white shores punctuate this geographically poetic port. And like any good haiku, it’s cloaked in seductive mystery. Celebrity DJ Mark Ronson was named the founding DJ of the Beach club. Besides having access to the island’s incredible biodiversity in marine life, boating, snorkeling and even historic shipwreck diving, sailors get exclusive access to The Beach Club — Virgin’s private beach club experience. Peaceful mornings and restorative days or amplified afternoons at the DJ-led pool party —the club is designed to answer whatever your specific mood is calling for. But regardless of your energy level, the bonfire finale will be nearly impossible to pass on. Depending on the cruise you select, you may be in port from 8 am to 6:30 pm or 9 am to 10 pm.
Enjoy the expansive lagoon-style pool. You’ll be able to enjoy local foods. Virgin plans to offer Bahamian favorites instead, specifically mentioning “conch and mango salad, banana leaf-wrapped queen snapper, Bahamian rum cake and more.” There will be 6 different bars to choose from on the island. You can rent a poolside cabana or enjoy one of the many sea swings, hammock or lounge chairs spread throughout the island. Suite guests can enjoy a dedicated bar, complimentary food service, an outdoor terrace lounge, sun loungers and beach cabanas.
