Disney Cruise Line Future Cruise Credits: How to Use Them

Disney Cruise Line Future Cruise Credits (FCCs) allow guests to apply the value of a cancelled sailing toward a future Disney Cruise booking. Here is a guide to how Disney FCCs work, how long they are valid, and how to redeem them.

How much is a Disney Future Cruise credit?

Disney Cruise Line is affected Guests who have paid their reservation in full the choice of a 125% future cruise credit* to be used for a future sailing prior to May 31, 2022 to be used for a future sailing within 15 months of their original sail date, or a full refund. The future cruise credit is calculated based on the base cruise fare. The FCC is applied per person and is non-transferable, non-refundable, and has no cash value. Those that already accepted a future cruise prior to that date will not be eligible for the additional 25% future cruise credit. The credit has automatically been added to a guests’ account and can be applied as a payment option when booking a new reservation. Guests that have not paid their reservations in full will automatically receive a refund of what they have paid so far.

What happens to other things I had purchased for the cruise?

Port charges and taxes will be refunded. Also, add on items such as pre or post hotel accommodations, travel insurance, transfers, specialty dining or shore excursions, will be refunded back to your credit card and will need to be re-purchased for the new reservation.

Can I use the future cruise credit for an existing reservation?

No. The only way to use an FCC is for a new reservation.

Can I used the future cruise credit as a deposit for my next Disney cruise?

No. You will need to place a deposit on the new sailing and then the FCC will be applied to the reservation.

What if the new cruise selected costs less?

If there are any funds left from the future cruise credit once the new reservation is paid in full, the remaining credit will be applied to a ship board account as a non-refundable onboard credit.

Can I use my future cruise credit with a travel agent?

Yes! Even if you booked direct with Disney before, you can redeem your future cruise credit with a travel agent. Remember it does not cost anything additional. Does Disney Cruise Line offer cancel for any reason insurance?

If you cancel your trip for a non-covered reason and have purchased the Disney Cruise Line vacation protection plan, you will receive a future cruise credit up to 75% of the cancellation fee amount to apply towards a future Disney cruise. Credits are valid for 1 year from issue date and are not transferable and have no cash value. To be eligible for credits, notification of cancellation must be given to Disney Cruise Line prior to the ship’s departure and a cancellation claim must be filed with Aon Affinity Travel Practice. Certain restrictions may apply.
