NCL Takes Delivery of the Epic

NCL is now in possession of the NCL Epic.  It is the largest ship of the NCL fleet.  The ship will visit Rotterdam and Southampton and then sail to New York where country singer Reba McEntire will officially name the ship on July 2nd.  The ship will also play host to the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks show which will be televised.  The inaugural Caribbean cruises begin in Miami on July 10th.

The Norwegian Epic was revolutionary when it joined the NCL fleet — at the time, it was the third-largest cruise ship ever built, and its innovative design challenged virtually every convention in the cruise industry. The Epic introduced studio cabins specifically designed for solo travelers, eliminating the dreaded single supplement. The Haven complex offered a ship-within-a-ship luxury experience complete with a private pool and concierge service. The entertainment lineup — featuring Legends in Concert, Blue Man Group, and Cirque Dreams — set a new standard for shipboard entertainment.

Atlas Travel Center has been booking Norwegian Cruise Line sailings for decades and can help you find the best Norwegian Epic itineraries, cabin categories, and departure dates for your next cruise vacation.
