Princess Cruises is still on a temporarily pause of their global ship operations. We do keep an updated list of current sailings at When Will Cruises resume. “We share in our guests’ disappointment in canceling these cruises,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises’ president. “We look forward to the days when we can return to travel and the happiness it brings to all who cruise.”
Guests currently booked on these canceled voyages who have paid Princess in full will have the option to receive a refundable future cruise credit (FCC) equivalent to 100 percent of the cruise fare paid plus an additional non-refundable bonus FCC equal to 25 percent of the cruise fare. For guests that paid in full for their Cruise, the value of the guest’s FCC shall not exceed 125% of the base cruise fare amount (as listed on Princess Cruises guest booking confirmation), regardless of how much the guest paid to Princess Cruises for or in connection with the cruise. If a guest did not pay in full for the Cruise, the value of the refundable FCC that covers 100% value of cruise fare paid shall not exceed the base cruise fare of the cancelled cruise; the value of the FCC shall be determined by the amount paid by guest to Princess Cruises (subject to the maximum set forth herein). All Future Cruise Credits expire by May 1, 2022 and must be used towards a Princess Cruises voyage sailing by December 31, 2022, and are subject to published terms, conditions, and restrictions. Cruises after October 1, 2021, retain their original Final Payment date.
Alternatively, guests can request a full refund for all monies paid on their booking through this online form. Requests must be or guests will be registered for the FCC option. Ready to start planning your Princess Cruises 2021 cruise?
About Princess Future Cruise Credits
Princess Future Cruise Credits may only be used toward the fare of your next Princess booking. They may not be used for any “additions”, like transfers, taxes, airfare, excursions or land-only tours. Redeeming Future Cruise Credits is easy, as they’re automatically applied to your next booking. If you have more credits than the cost of your cruise fare, you can apply the remaining credits to other future bookings — just be sure to use it before the expiration date.
What is a Princess Cruises Future Cruise Credit (FCC)?
A Future Cruise Credit (FCC) is essentially a voucher for future travel. It has a monetary amount associated with it, and it is provided in lieu of a refund.
Can I use my FCC to pay for more than one cruise?
Yes. If the amount of your credit is greater than the cruise fare of your new booking, you can apply the remaining FCC balance on additional future bookings up to the expiration date.
How are FCCs distributed across the guests on my booking?
FCCs are given per person based on the cancellation fee calculated from your individual cruise or cruise tour fare.
What happens to my FCC if the booking I used it on cancels?
The Future Cruise Credit will remain attached to your profile until it expires. If you cancel a booking where you used an FCC, it goes back to your profile, and you can re-use it before the expiration date. In the event the original FCC is expired, it will be reissued with a new expiration date. Their last update on June 3rd mentioned that they are making their way through the backlog more quickly now and have completed nearly 60% of refunds so far. Refunds and Future Cruise Credits (FCCs) are handled separately using different programs; therefore, it’s normal to receive one at a different time than
How long will it take to get my refund?
We want you to know that we hear you and understand your frustration with the time it is taking to receive your refund. Princess is now refunding millions of dollars per week and are actively working through their back log. The reservation and payment systems were not designed to handle this volume of refunds in a short period of time, and it is taking longer than they wanted.
How long will I know when my FCC is ready?
Princess will automatically take care of it and email you when it’s done.
