Cancellation penalties are reimbursed in the form of a Uniworld Travel Certificate allowing a two year credit to travel at a later date. To be eligible for this plan you must enroll and pay for the plan at the time you make your trip deposit The certificate is nontransferable, nonrefundable and may not be redeemed for cash.

Uniworld Coronavirus Health & Safety Assurance

Highest Standards – As part of The Travel Corporation, a 100-year-old family-owned collection of hospitality brands, they are able to weather the most difficult of times without sacrificing their high standards.

Booking Flexibility – Book confidently with the flexibility to change your travel plans up to 30 days prior to your departure date for European cruises and up to 60 days for  2021 exotic cruises with departure dates through June 30th, 2021.

The Perfect Size – Enjoy all the benefits of cruising while traveling with small groups of people who share your passion for travel and exploration. The boutique river cruise ships are smaller and more intimate than the typical ocean cruise ship. With an average capacity of just 120 guests and many public spaces onboard, there’s plenty of room to relax while staying physically distant. The small size and high crew-to-guest ratios mean the ships are thoroughly cleaned regularly and often. Traveling by river means you are always close to land, allowing for immediate access to shoreside resources.

Uniworld’s Well-Being Declaration and Health Screening take personal responsibility to help protect each other and the people and places visited. All guests and crew will be asked to complete a Well-Being Travel Declaration upon arrival. All guests and crew will be required to have their temperatures taken prior to embarkation and routinely throughout the cruise, using touchless technology.

They have added new measures to elevate the hygiene standards for every facet of onboard experience, from the introduction of innovative, non-toxic cleaning solutions to hand sanitizer stations throughout the ship. Uniworld is the first river cruise company to have their European ships sprayed with ACT CleanCoat, the antimicrobial coating  that is odorless, nontoxic and kills bacteria and viruses including COVID-19.

The hotel, cruise managers and crew have all been trained by an external consultant in professional health, enhanced hygiene and physical distancing procedures. They will operate with a duty of care and monitor the hygiene etiquette of guests, reacting and advising as needed, to ensure the highest of standards are maintained.

Uniworld follows the members of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) to be actively involved in helping to define global protocols. They are kept up to date with all government advisories and travel alerts on a daily basis. Protocols will be adapted and adjusted as needed, in a timely manner, as local governments and the World Health Organization (WHO) define and implement what is required in each country.

They are very selective in who they work with onshore and choose to only use local guides, buses, drivers, restaurants and venues that take the health and well-being of their guests seriously. The well-established and rigorous cleaning regimes for buses and vox boxes have been enhanced and they will continue to only work with establishments that they are confident will consistently adhere to their standards.

As they learn more from Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) we will look to adopt their health and safety recommendations and continue to update for your added peace of mind. Browse Uniworld River Cruises 2021
