Silversea Cruises just announced a world cruise for 2019 that many people are getting excited about. If you’ve been thinking about going on a world cruise, now is your chance to do so.

Here’s is what you need to know about the Silversea World cruise 2019.

The Ultimate Late Winter/Spring Cruise

The cruise will leave on January 6, 2019 and end on May 19, 2019. This 132 day cruise will leave San Francisco and end in Greenwich England. It will visit 52 ports in 32 different countries. The ship will hold up to 382 passengers so it will make for a very intimate experience. The first stop, after leaving San Francisco, will be the French Polynesia and then off to New England. It will then sail to Australia’s northern side and then it will sail to Malaysia, Indonesia and then the Philippines. Next it will sail to Taiwan, Japan, China, Vietnam and Singapore. After the ship visits Singapore, it will head to Malaysia again and then visit Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Seychelles, and then to various ports in Africa.

Short Stories Will Be A Part Of It

One of the unique parts about this voyage is that nine writers will be invited aboard the ship, including Paul Theroux, and they will be creating short stories about the voyage. The stories will all be compiled together as a collection of experiences related to the trip.

The Fares

The cost of this cruise is actually cheaper than you might think. Prices start at just $57,700 per person. That’s based on double occupancy. This price includes a stay overnight at a hotel in San Francisco, the day before the ship sets sail. It also includes transfers, $4,000 in on-board spending credit and laundry service.

Why You Might Want To Go On A World Cruise

Going on cruise for this amount of time definitely isn’t for everyone. However, if you’ve always wanted to see the world, this can be a great way to do so. Even though the price may seem high, it actually isn’t when you think about the fact that your transportation to each port is included, your meals are included as well as all of your accommodations. There’s also plenty of on-board activities that will keep you entertained as well. You can actually save quite a bit of money by choosing to see the world this way instead of trying to venture out on your own.
