Have you seen the new movie, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again? This movie celebrates Greek culture in a very funny way, but you also get to see some of the amazing islands of Greece. Mamma Mia fans can learn more about the movie and see some of the various filming sites by going on Star Clipper Cruises 2019 on the Star Flyer cruise ship. They recently announced a Mamma Mia itinerary that will have travelers rejoicing. Here’s more information about this epic cruise.

Destinations Inspired By The Movie
The cruise will be seven days in length and will sail through the Greek isles. One of the most popular stops will be in Skopelos, as this area was used quite a bit in the movie. Passengers will get to climb to the top of a cliff so that they can see the chapel of Agios Ioannis sto Kastri. This is where Sophie got married in the movie. Travelers will be able to visit the Villa Donna that was an actual Hollywood set and get to see Kastani beach, which was the location where Tanya sang “Does Your Mother Know.” The ship will also sail to Skiathos, where passengers will get to see the beautiful Old Port where the three fathers met for the first time in the movie. While we know that all of these cruises will depart in 2019, the dates are still tentatively set for May 18, June 29, and August 17. Rates are $1,730 per person and based on double occupancy. Star Clippers has been offering passengers the chance to sail to various cities for over 25 years and are known for everything from traditional sailing opportunities to more luxurious ones. In addition to the Mamma Mia cruise, passengers can also look forward to the line’s newest ship, the Flying Clipper, with a 300 passenger capacity and will be a replica of the France II ship that sailed in 1911 for the French merchant navy. Work began on it in 2015 and it is expected to launch by the end of 2018. Initially, it was expected to hit the waters last August, but for unknown reasons it had to be pushed back a year. This has caused even more anticipation for the Star Clippers’ newest ship.
