Virgil’s BBQ Grilled Sweet Potato Pie Recipe

This recipe is courtesy of Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas. Virgil’s Real BBQ opens November 1st at the Atlantis.  Steeped in the storied tradition of the South, using the world-famous BBQ styles of Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, the Carolinas and Missouri.  Virgil’s Real BBQ will provide guests of Atlantis with a new family-style dining experience at the heart of the Coral Towers.  Designed by world-renowned interior architect and designer, Jeffrey Beers, the restaurant is Virgil’s first outside of the U.S.

This Sweet Potato Pie is inspired by the Southern BBQ traditions celebrated at Virgil’s Real BBQ, which has locations in New York City and at the Atlantis Paradise Island resort in the Bahamas. The Atlantis resort’s culinary team shared this recipe as a celebration of Southern American flavors and the comfort food traditions that have traveled far beyond their regional roots. At Atlas Travel Center, we love when travel and food culture intersect — and the Bahamas offers extraordinary culinary experiences alongside its world-famous beaches and water parks.
