If you are a turtle enthusiast, then there is one place in the world that you will want to vist: Tortugeuro National Park located in Costa Rica, is home to four different species of turtles which all live on various beaches throughout this national park. Each year over 50,000 people travel to see these turtles alongside the beauty of the forests and swamp lands.
There is a vast array of wildlife throughout Tortugeuro including over 300 species of birds, 57 amphibian species, 111 reptile species, and 60 mammal species. You see wildlife at just about every turn.
Over the past few decades there has been a lot of development which puts a stress on the wildlife and environment. This is mainly felt within the western parts of the park due to excessive logging and hunting.
