Independent Tours in Europe – What Are The Benefits

Traveling to a foreign country is exciting and fun, but planning can be a bit daunting for many of us. To alleviate the headaches of planning your trip there is a new method of travel planning that has been introduced in the last few years called Independent Travel. This allows travelers all the benefits of a guided tour, such as hotel and transportation being planned and set up through a professional travel agency that knows the area, while allowing the traveler to enjoy the freedom to do as they like once arriving at each destination and the peace of mind that comes with booking through an experienced tour operator.

On a traditional guided tour, the traveler typically stays with a group of 30 or more while visiting the sights with travel on a preset schedule, but with Independent Travel you pick the days that you wish to travel to each destination on the tour, the only planning required in advance is the date you arrive in the country and the date you wish to leave. Locations throughout the tour are preset, but each traveler decides how long they wish to stay at any destination and can notify the tour operator of any changes. This allows much more flexibility during your vacation while ensuring the benefit of an experienced travel guide to get you from one place to the next and share interesting facts about each location visited. Another benefit of traveling with a tour is that the operators are local and speak the language of the countries visited.

Upon arrival you have transportation to and from the airport, breakfast daily, an orientation tour so you don’t miss out on any of the ‘must see’ sights, and luxury touring coaches, trains, ferries or air travel between destinations.  You can add on additional sightseeing if you’d like, or explore on your own.  These vacations are ideal for the independent traveller. They are stylish, hassle free, flexible and great value – a vacation as you would have planned it yourself.
