1024

California is a large and varied state, with settings ranging from beautiful beaches, mountain resorts and desert casinos, California has something for you, no matter what type of honeymoon you are hoping to have! There are far too many great destinations in the state to list them all, but here are a few of the fun and romantic California honeymoon destinations that you may want to consider for your special trip.

  • San Diego. Located in Southern California, San Diego is California’s second largest city and is an excellent city to visit at any time. The city is well-known for it’s mild Mediterranean-like climate and gorgeous beaches. It’s no difficult task to find a romantic destination in San Diego. Go snorkeling together at La Jolla Cove or take a stroll through Balboa Park. If you’re looking for a resort, consider San Diego’s Paradise Point. The resort offers what they call the ultimate honeymoon package. Choose between a luxury suite or a cozy beach bungalow, sail into the sunset or dine at an elegant waterfront restaurant. You couldn’t ask for a more romantic setting, making this a great honeymoon destination.

  • Lake Tahoe. Located on the border between California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is an excellent destination for active couples, particularly during the summer and winter months. Spend your summertime honeymoon hiking or boating, or snuggle up together in the winter in between snowmobiling, ice skating and hitting the slopes. For a fantastic place to stay during the honeymoon, consider the Fantasy Inn. If you’ve ever wanted to soak in a heart-shaped hot tub with your special someone, the Fantasy Inn is the place to do it. The rooms are themed, so you can choose your fantasy, whether it’s Romeo and Juliet, the rain forest, Arabian Nights, or living like a princess.

  • Palm Springs. The resort city of Palm Springs is located in the desert area of California. If you want to avoid rain during your honeymoon, this city is a safe bet. Visit the butterfly and hummingbird gardens in The Living Forest for a romantic stroll, or enjoy French cuisine at the lovely Le Vallauris, for a fine dining experience that is delicious and decadent. When looking for a resort, consider the Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa. The resort offers luxury suites with fantastic views, a world-class spa, and activities like golf or tennis. Rancho Las Palmas offers a number of special deals and packages, and also offers wedding services.

This variety is what makes California one of the greatest states in the U.S. for a vacation at any time! Whatever your taste, you’re sure to find some area of the state that offers exactly what you’re looking for in a honeymoon destination.
