Washington DC: 100th Anniversary of the Cherry Blossom Festival

There is so much to see and do in Washington DC, and so much of it is concentrated in one area.  The White House, the Capitol Building, the National Mall, the Lincoln Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial are just a few of the many attractions within a two-mile radius of each other. While you are there, don’t miss the Smithsonian, the world’s largest museum complex, composed of 19 museums and the National Zoo. In the Spring, see the famous cherry blossoms burst into flower along the nearby Tidal Basin. 2012 Marks the 100th Anniversary of the Cheryl Blossom Festival.  The festival dates are March 20th through April 27, 2012.  The actual National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade is April 14th, 2012 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The parade goes along Constitution Avenue at 7th Street and ends at 17th Street.
