We may not get snow, but we still have plenty of holiday spirit here in South Florida! From sandy sculptures to towering displays and unique art installations Palm Beach County has it all. Delray Beach
- Delray Beach’s tree-lighting event dates back to 1993 with a massive 100-foot creation made of 15,000 lights, 40,000 ornaments and 3,000 branches. On November 29th, watch it light up during the celebration from 6 to 9 pm. The event includes musical entertainment, family activities, open-house store events, dining and an appearance by Santa at Old School Square. Old School Square in Delray Beach with music on three stages and the Yuletide Street Fair.
- Delray Beach Holiday Parade takes place at Atlantic Avenue at 6:00 pm December 10th. The theme is Winter Nights and Holiday Lights.
Palm Beach
- Palm Beach’s Worth Avenue will kick off the holiday shopping season on Tuesday, November 29th at 6:30pm, when the switch flips on the magnificent 40-foot tree. Look for Santa sightings and enjoy the festive activities with hot cocoa at 256 Worth Avenue.
West Palm Beach
- “Sandi”, a 35 foot, 700-ton tree sculpture made of sand, is making her 11th season appearance in West Palm Beach. She is the icon of “the season”. The Clematis by Night Holiday Tree Lighting will take place from 6 to 10 pm on December 1st when Sandi will be illuminated. Following this event, nightly music and light shows run every 15 minutes from 6 to 9 pm through December. Sandi Land also features Santa sightings, story time and other activities on the Great Lawn at 100 North Clematis Street in West Palm Beach. New addition this year Ferris the Ferris wheel. Ferris rides will be available from 6 – 10 pm nightly throughout the month of December. The 65-foot Ferris wheel features gondola seating and its own light show. Tickets are $5 per rider for a single ride or $20 per rider for unlimited rides for one night.
- The Royal Poinciana Plaza offers a South Florida twist with its surfboard Christmas Tree in the spirit of surf and sand. This year Iris Apfel will design the tree. The design is inspired by her own personal style featuring bright colors and over-the-top embellishments. The special event, when it is revealed, will take place December 1st at 6pm. The Royal Poinciana Plaza is located right in the heart of Palm beach at 340 Royal Poinciana Way.
- Visit the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum at One Whitehall Way in Palm Beach with turn of the century grandeur transformed into a Christmas wonderland. A 16-foot tree in the Grand Hall is the focal point, adorned with colored fairy lights and Gilded Age-style ornaments, complete with historically accurate greenery, trimmings and ribbons. The tree lighting will take place on December 4 at 12 pm. Enjoy festive organ and piano music, choir performances, refreshments and a visit from Santa. Browse the museum store for holiday shopping and enjoy the event with museum admission. The decorations will be on display through early January. Boynton Beach
- In Boynton Beach, the city’s tree-lighting ceremony is on Friday, the 2nd of December at 5 pm. The kapok and banyan trees create a magical atmosphere on Ocean Avenue at Town Square and Dewey Park. A free concert will feature holiday music from local performers and food trucks and beverage vendors will be on site at Centennial Park & Amphitheater, 120 E. Ocean Avenue. Enjoy a family friendly evening with children’s activities and don’t forget the chairs and blankets.
- Rockin’ Around the Block & Holiday Market will be held in Downtown Boynton Beach the first weekend of December.
Palm Beach Gardens
- Palm Beach Gardens annual tree lighting will be held on December 3rd from 5 to 7 pm at the City Hall Municipal Campus. Enjoy Photos with Santa (5:45pm-6:45pm), music, children’s activities such as Ornament Decorating Craft, Mug Decorating Craft, Food Trucks and Hot Cocoa Kit Making Station.
- Downtown at the Gardens will hold their tree lighting this Saturday, November 27th starting at 5 pm. Enjoy live music, holiday themed entertainment and children can write a letter to Santa to plan in the holiday mailbox. Help support Toys for Tots with an unwrapped toy to donate to local children for the holidays.
