5 Places To Pop The Question On Valentine’s Day

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, romance is in the air. If you are planning to propose on February 14th, but need a little inspiration, we’ve got you covered. Check out our list of some of the more memorable places where you can pop the question to your sweetie.

Lismore Castle, Ireland
It doesn’t get much more romantic than a castle in Ireland. This castle dates back to the 13th century and looks as if it’s right out of a fairytale. Nearby there are also mountains and the River Blackwater. One night’s stay at the castle costs about $4,700. As pricey as it may sound it also comes with not just one, but a team of butlers that give each guest personal attention as they wait on them hand and foot. If you are not in the position to spend that amount of money, you can always just visit the castle and propose in front of it.

St. Augustine, Florida
The entire city of St. Augustine is charming. It’s been called the oldest city in the U.S. There are plenty of romantic places to propose including the top of the St. Augustine Lighthouse, the beach at sunset or on a carriage ride throughout the streets of St. Augustine.

Verona, Italy
This city was the setting for Romeo and Juliet so there are plenty of great places to propose here. For instance, Giardino Giusti is a beautiful place to walk through and plan an elaborate picnic lunch. You could even visit Juliet’s House which is located at the Piazza delle Erbe. Almost everywhere you go in the city, the views are absolutely amazing so no matter where you end up, down on one knee and ring in hand, you really can’t go wrong.

Wailua Falls
A proposal in Hawaii, especially at Wailua Falls, is something that only most people could dream of. The falls are about 80 feet and were featured in the hit from the 1970’s, Fantasy Island. Two great places to propose at Wailua Falls are at the pool at the bottom or at the overlook at the top.

Niagara Falls
Many people propose at Niagara Falls each year. This is because the views are absolutely breathtaking and there are quite a few lookout points that make for the perfect place to pop the question. If you would like to do something different, hop on the Maid of the Mist boats for an up-close view of the falls or go to the Skylon Tower in the evening where you can get a unique view of the falls as they are illuminated.

If you would rather have something more traditional you can always propose at the Eiffel Tower, the London Eye or in a hot air balloon. Whatever you do, don’t forget your camera as you will want to document this momentous occasion.
