Reservations are not required. The store is open from 9 – 6 daily with hayrides from 12 -4. Hayrides are available on the weekend from 10-4.
Terhune Orchards, Princeton, NJ – Open Monday – Sunday from 9-5. Honey crisp apples are finished for 2021. Early Fuji, Gala, Jonathan, Empire and Crimson Crisp picking now. Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Stayman Winesap, Cameo, Granny Smith, Pink Lady, Fuji and Macoun picking through October.
Ochs Orchard, Warwick, NY – Farm market, Ice Cream, Pick your own. Open 9-6 daily with admission at $5 per person over the age of 4. $3 is then credited back to your purchase. Apple picking from mid-September through October.
Anderson Orchard, Mooresville, Ind. – U-pick apples are available every day from mid-August to late October from 8am to 8pm for some varieties and up to mid- November for Jonathan, red and Golden Delicious, Jonagold, Ida Red, Scarlet Beauty, Mutsu/Crispin, Fuji, Granny Smith and Black Twig. They offer apple barn tours, apple festivals, hayrides, October Fest and children’s activities.
County Line Orchard in Hobart Indiana open from 8 am to 6pm daily. County Line Orchards date back to 1989. They grow over 25 varieties of apples. A $2 general admission gets you a tractor ride out to the field and a U-pick bag. Each week various apples are ready to pick. They also have a corn maze, pumpkin patch, moo-choo train, and kids farm. Farm Admission is up to 3 years free, 4- 72 $12 and 73 and over free. The corn maze is included in the price. They offer a Barrel Train and a corn box slide for children under 80 pounds, hayrides, hay tunnel pedal karts, sandbox, playground and spider web climbs.
Applecrest Farm Orchard, New Hampshire – Apple varieties for October apple picking are Cortland, Red Delicious, Mutsu, Ida Red, Empire, Golden Delicious, Fuji, Jonagold and Hampshire. They are open daily from 8am to 5pm with a corn maze, free live music, free tractor rides, homemade ice cream, apple cider donuts, barnyard animals, sunflower trail, festivals and musical performers.
Apple Dave’s Orchard, Warwick, NY – Open 9am to 430pm through late October for apple picking of Macintosh, Cortland, Honeycrisp, Gaga, Empire, Jonagold, Jonamac, Rome Beauty, Red Delicious, Macoun, Fuji and Golden Delicious. Enjoy live music from Barry and John of Flipside. Relax at a picnic table and enjoy the show. Stroll the walking trails with farm atmosphere and free-range chickens. Food and ice cream is available on weekends. Visit the farm store and taste the fresh made donuts.
Hillcrest Orchards Ellijay, Georgia: Apple Pickin’ Jubilee happens each weekend, pick your own apples, milk a cow, watch swimming pig races, enjoy live music, visit the café for homemade treats and more. September 4-October 31. (Sat. and Sun. 9 a.m.-6 p.m) $15 per person.
Georgia Apple Festival two weekends in October at the Ellijay Lions Club Fairgrounds in Ellijay Georgia. Ellijay is known for being apple country and this fall festival celebrates their prize fruit. Watch the parade and take part in apple-themed activities, Ellijay Lions Club Fairgrounds: Ellijay. $5; ages 9 and younger, free. October 9-10 and October 16-17. Sat. 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sun. 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sky Top Orchard, Flatrock, North Carolina – Open daily from 9am to 6pm with 22 varieties of apples at different times from August until the end of October. Check their ripening schedule online. They offer fresh apple cider, cider slushies and apple cider donuts. Enjoy a tractor-pulled ride through the orchard, Visit the barnyard goats, sheep, chickens, peacocks, ducks and geese. See the cider being made and watch the bees at a working beehive.
Mt. View Orchard just north of Mt. Hood in Parkdale, Oregon – Open daily 10am to 5pm, family and pup-friendly with no admission fee. The Grateful Garden on Green Meadow is open daily from 12 – 6pm for refreshment and the Grateful Vineyard Tasting Room is open for ages 21 and over Monday through Friday from 2-6pm and Saturday & Sunday from 12- 6pm.
