There’s a new place to stay when traveling to Orlando. The Cabana Bay Hotel recently opened at Universal Orlando. This hotel joins Universal’s other hotels: Hard Rock Hotel, Portofino Bay Hotel and Royal Pacific Resort. However, the accommodations are a lot different than the other three.

Affordability
The Cabana Bay Hotel will be a more affordable option for those wanting to stay close to Universal. It offers 1,800 guest rooms that are value or moderately priced. There’s also a 50% discount for connecting rooms. A standard room ranges from around $120-$150 a night and a family suite will cost around $200 a night.

The hotel has a vintage field throughout. A lot of the inspiration comes from the old television show called Mad Men. When guests step into the hotel they feel as if they have stepped back in time to the 50’s and 60’s. Each guestroom has neon colors and a retro feel too it.

Onsite Activities
Guests can utilize many different onsite activities. There’s a 10-lane bowling alley as well as a game room and fitness studios. For those days when the Florida weather is scorching, guests can take advantage of a zero entry pool, waterslide and sandy beaches. One of the neat things about the pool that is located on the south side is that it has a lazy river for guests to float around in and cool off. The hotel also has activities for its guests such as bingo, volleyball, poolside movies and hula hooping contests.

Dining Options
No matter what guests are in the mood for, they’re bound to find something to eat at one of the hotel’s many restaurants. There’s traditional food choices like hamburgers, pizza and sandwiches at the Bayliner Diner food court. At the onsite bowling alley, Galaxy Bowl, guests can enjoy hotdogs, appetizers and food off of the grill. For lighter fare there’s an onsite coffee shop and a pool bar that offers a variety of frozen drinks.

The Cabana Bay Hotel might just be the hotel option that travelers have been looking for. They can stay right at Universal without the expense of the other higher priced hotels. With Universal’s newest attraction, Diagon Alley opening soon this hotel couldn’t have come at a more opportune time. Guests at the hotel will also get early admission into Universal to explore The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Start researching your Universal Studios vacation package today.
