The holiday season is an exciting time to go to the Disney theme parks in Florida. These parks are all decked out in holiday decorations and there are all sorts of special things going on. If you don’t mind dealing with a lot of crowds and are planning a trip to one of the parks soon, here’s what you can expect.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party At The Magic Kingdom
On select evenings from November 8th through December 22, 2019 you can take part in Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, if you purchase a separate ticket. The party includes a grand procession that features large gingerbread men, Santa and floats with a holiday theme. There is “snow” and guests will also get to enjoy a treat of milk and cookies. One of the big perks of this event is that attendance is limited, which means that there should be shorter lines for rides. The evening ends with the “Holiday Wishes” fireworks display.
Tickets are already on sale.
International Festival Of The Holidays At Epcot
November 22nd through December 30, 2019 Epcot guests can enjoy the International Festival of the Holidays. Throughout the park, there will be food available to sample at kiosks spread out among Epcot. They include dishes from around the world like Christmas logs and potato knishes. There will also be a candlelight processional in the evenings where the Christmas story will be told and a choir will sing. You will not need to purchase a separate ticket to take part in the International Festival of the Holidays. Tickets are currently on sale.
Flurry of Fun At Disney’s Hollywood Studios
There’s a lot of holiday fun happening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Nov 22 through January 6. Festive music will be played at Toy Story Land and favorite characters like Buzz and Woody dress up Christmas attire. Sunset Boulevard has holiday-themed projections and a pyrotechnics and projection show is being shown at the Chinese Theater. Visit with Santa Claus or meet Santa Goofy. No special ticket is needed to take part in the holiday festivities.
Holiday Events At Disney Springs
Even though this isn’t a theme park, there is plenty to do at Disney Springs. It’s a great place to shop for unique Christmas gifts. In addition to all of the shops and restaurants located here, visitors can visit the Christmas Tree Trail to see all of the holiday trees that are decked out in all sorts of Disney decorations. For those that are wanting to see Santa in person, they can head over to his chalet to catch a glimpse of the jolly guy. Soak up an assortment of seasonal sights and sounds as you wander through our decked-out waterside promenade.
Disney holidays cruises are a great way to celebrate the holiday season as well. From mid-September through the end of the year, share the magic of the season in a whole new way when Disney Cruise Line celebrates Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmastime and New Year’s Eve.
