One of the best places to go for some Halloween fun is Orlando. Many of the theme parks have special events geared towards both adults and children. If you plan on being in Orlando in September or October, check out our ultimate guide for Halloween fun in Orlando.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
What kid wouldn’t love to trick or treat at the Magic Kingdom? Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be on select night from September 15-November 1. Not only can attendees dress up in their Halloween costumes and trick or treat, they can also watch the Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade that will occur each night. The evening will end with an orange and green fireworks display.
Halloween Horror Nights
This Halloween event is best for the older crowd. From September 18-November 1 on select nights, the streets of Universal Studios Florida will be filled with monsters, ghouls and maniacs. There will also be haunted houses and creatures just waiting for the opportunity to scare you. It’s quite frightening and a totally different experience than the normal Universal Orlando daytime events.
Brick-or-Treat
Kids are in for a real treat when they visit LEGOLAND Florida from October 3-28. Miniland USA will be turned into a haunted scavenger hunt where kids will get to find Lego Creatures. They can also collect candy on the brick-or-treat trail. There will be a costume contest and opportunities to build LEGO models. One of the highlights of this event is getting to see the world’s largest Jack-O-Lantern made out of Legos. Unlike the other events listed above, Brick-or-Treat takes place during the day, which is perfect for those little ones that have early bed times.
SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular
Even the animals get in on the Halloween fun at SeaWorld. On select days in October, kids can trick or treat and enjoy arts and crafts. Kids can also enjoy costumed creatures dancing around throughout the park and Penelope’s Party Zone. SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular is available from 12 p.m. 7 p.m.
As you can see there are many Halloween events to take your kids to during the months of September and October in Orlando. If theme parks aren’t quite your thing or you are looking for a more low key event, the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Garden will be hosting their annual Zoo Boo Bash from October 17-31. Kids can trick or treat at one of the many trick or treat stations. There’s also a pumpkin patch and a haunted hayride.
