Haunted History Tours: New Orleans Ghost Tour, New Orleans,Louisiana

New Orleans has been said to be the most haunted city in America. There are quite a few ghost tours available that brave participants can go on. Of these, the Haunted History Tours: New Orleans Ghost Tour is considered to be of the top ten ghost tours in the United States. This tour takes place near the French Quarter at Royal Street’s Haunted Mansion. At this location participants can listen to stories about criminal Delphine LaLaurie and maybe hear a ghost scream or cry.

The Ghosts Of Gettysburg Tour, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

This tour is centered around the historic Gettysburg. The battle that took place here is where hundreds of soldiers died so it’s not surprising that many ghosts are roaming around the area. The tour takes place by candlelight and ghosts can be seen on the Country Courthouse steps late at night or moving in formation on the field where they were killed.

Salem Witch Walk, Salem, Massachusetts

This tour is pretty educational as it is run by real witches. Along the way the witches tell stories about nineteen people that lived in the town and were put to death because they were accused of performing witchcraft. The tour consists of visiting the most haunted graveyard in America, taking part in a magic circle and learning about charms and spells.

Ghosts Of New York, New York City, New York

On this tour brave participants tour various neighborhoods in New York City to look for famous ghosts like Eleanor Roosevelt, Harry Houdini and Edgar Allen Poe. The tour goes through parts of Brooklyn Heights, East Village, Lower Manhattan and Greenwich Village. It’s not clear as to which is more terrifying, the ghosts spotted on the tour or the ghost stories told by the tour guides.

Hearse Ghost Tours, Savannah, Georgia

This tour is quite different than the other ones on the list because instead of being a walking tour, participants ride around in a hearse. This just adds to the creepiness of the tour. Stops include a visit to one of Savannah’s oldest buildings- the Pirate’s House which is full of mean and drunk ghosts and the Olde Pink House where former slaves and their owners roam around.

Haunted Boston Ghost Tours, Boston, Massachusetts

This is the perfect city to go on a ghost tour because it’s full of hauntings. There are many stops on this tour including a visit to The King’s Chapel Burying Ground, the Boston Common and the Central Burying Ground. This tour mainly consists of visiting many of Boston’s historic graveyards and looking for ghosts.
