- Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). If you’re planning on traveling to the Middle East, you cannot find a better film festival in the region than the Dubai International Film Festival. Established in 2004, the Dubai International Film Festival has become one of the major international film festivals worldwide. At the same time, the festival contributes greatly to the development and showcasing of Arabic cinema. This year’s DIFF takes place between December 9 and December 16th. - Monaco Film Festival. Taking a trip to the French Riviera this December? Check out the Monaco International Film Festival. As the home of the Angel Film Awards, which are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year, this festival is not to be missed. The festival opens on December 7th with a toy drive for the “Cinema Angels – Give a Toy” charity, sponsored by the Angel Film Award directors. - International Film Festival of Marrakech. The International Film Festival of Marrakech is held in Marrakech, Morocco between Friday November 30th and Saturday December 8th. This year’s festival, which will be held outdoors at Jemaa el Fna square, will pay tribute to 100 years of Indian cinema by screening a number of Hindi films on December 1st. The festival similarly celebrated Mexican films last year.
