Celebrity Cruise Line LGBT Weddings at Sea

Getting married on a cruise ship is not only memorable, but practical as well. Once your ceremony is over you can set sail on your voyage to your honeymoon destination(s). In the past only heterosexual couples were able to get married this way. Thanks to a referendum passing that made it legal for same sex couples to marry, they can also get married on cruise ship. Celebrity Cruise Line now offers weddings for LGBT couples that will make for a memorable experience. Same-sex marriages performed onboard the ships by the Captain are legally recognized.

What To Expect
The captain of the cruise ship will be the one that officiates the ceremonies, that are legally recognized, so couples won’t have to find another officiant to do so. Everything is all inclusive and couples can customize what they want and don’t want in order to make their wedding something they will always remember. The entire wedding program is part of Celebrity Cruise Line’s “Wedding Experience”. There are several options available for Celebrity cruises 2019.

Celebrity Cruise Wedding Package options include:

Nuptials at Sea. This package includes not only the ceremony, but an event coordinator to help plan everything, photography, music, champagne, two bouquets/boutonnieres and of course, a cake.

Celebration Package. This type of package is for those that want to have a vow renewal or want to have a shore side wedding at a port and a reception on board the ship.

Couples can also opt for other items like invitations and favors or even wedding attire. They can also treat their wedding party to salon and spa services before the big event. One of the perks of getting married on a Celebrity ship is that pretty much everything a couple needs for their big day to go off without a hitch is available on onboard. This is great for those couples that want a truly hassle free wedding experience.

It’s not surprising that Celebrity Cruise Line has chosen to offer these types of weddings as they are known for their support of the LGBTQ community. Couples have gotten married onboard in the past, but it was more difficult until this referendum was passed. Now couples have so many options when it comes to getting married on a Celebrity cruise ship while in international waters or docked at a port. Some of the destinations to get married at will include the Caribbean, Mexico and the United States. With over 280 destinations throughout the world that Celebrity Cruise line visits, couples can get married in practically any destination that they want too.

Other cruise lines that show their support to the LGBT community throughout the year and offer weddings at seas including Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Princess Cruises & NCL cruises.
