The Travel Corporation (TTC) owns a number of well-known travel brands including Trafalgar Tours, Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold by Insight, Contiki, and Costsaver tours.

Due to ongoing uncertainty, spiking cases of COVID-19, and in accordance with travel restrictions imposed by government advisories worldwide, Trafalgar has suspended all trips departing up and until 30 November 2020.

If you have a trip scheduled to depart during this time frame, you will automatically be issued a future travel credit for the full value of the land portion of your trip. This credit needs to be used for travel before December 31, 2022.

You have two options:

• Rebook now, and change your travel dates or destination to any trip departing up until 31 December 2022 without penalty on the land portion of your trip. If you had any discounts applied to your previous reservation (of up to 15%,) that discount will be transferred and applied to your new booking as well.*

OR

• Elect to hold a Future Travel Credit of the full amount paid for land portion of the suspended vacation, redeemable against any new booking for travel to any destination departing before 31 December 2022.**

Future Travel Credits can be redeemed with Trafalgar, or another TTC brand (Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, Brendan Vacations, Costsaver, Uniworld or U by Uniworld) on any destination, or trip for travel before December 31, 2022. To give you maximum flexibility, if you are unable to travel, you can also choose to transfer your Future Travel Credit to a friend or family member.

Travel Corp is also sharing it’s newly enhanced COVID-19 related protocols and hygiene standards for all of its brands once domestic and international escorted tours resume. These standards have been developed in accordance with guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO) and adhere to local government guidelines set for each destination.

Based on the recommended government distancing guidelines, TTC will be adapting the group size for trips. Adapting to the right size groups, based on government distancing requirements, you can rest assured that you will travel with the comfort of your own personal space. This will include local tours where they will make certain travelers are divided into smaller groups at each stop, to ensure the required physical distancing is ensured. This will also allow for a more personalized experience.

There will be an emphasis on training. Specifically, motorcoach drivers will be trained with the latest hygiene protocols. They will be responsible to clean & sanitize frequently touched surfaces at least once daily. This will include handrails, door handles, tables, seats, air-conditioning filters and overhead lockers.

Travel Directors and Trip Managers will be trained in new and enhanced hygiene and physical distancing procedures. During the trip, they will operate with a duty of care, and monitor the hygiene etiquette of travelers, reacting and advising as needed, to ensure high standards are maintained.

Travelers will be asked to bring their own washable face mask and gloves. That being said, should you misplace yours, tour guides will have face masks, rubber gloves, hand sanitizer, antiviral sprays and wipes readily available if needed.

TTC “will try hard to only work with establishments that they are confident will consistently adhere to our standards,” the company said. A team will oversee the process in vetting suppliers including hotels, restaurants, museums and other venues, that are also applying the same, new required hygiene and distancing protocols. One of the determinations may include places that receive the Global Safety Stamp from the WTCC To Recognize “Safe Travels” Protocols are in place.

Book with confidence. To give travelers peace of mind and more time to make decisions about future travel plans, on any new bookings made until further notice, you can change your booking up to 30 days prior to departure. Just choose new dates and/or a new destination without penalty on the land portion of your trip and your funds will be moved. Please note that refunds are not available, and airlines may impose different change policies and penalties. If you book your own airfare, you will be responsible for reaching out to the airline to make any changes as well as any fees.
