Educational Trips to Consider

805

You’ve probably heard well rounded travelers say that there is nothing as educational as traveling. No matter how many trips you’ve been on there’s always more places to go and more things to learn. Looking to learn about a new culture, animal species or the history of a destination? Check out these educational trips.

Brazil
The entire country of Brazil is a treasure trove of learning opportunities. The incredible Iguassu Waterfalls are a must see. Even if you’ve seen the Argentinian side before you should definitely check out the Brazilian side as it’s a lot more powerful and will blow you away. Iguacu National Park is a wealth of educational opportunities. It is very easy to navigate and allows you to see both the park and the falls all in one day. The Ricardo Brennand Institute is filled with some of the best artwork in the world. Guests can view numerous pieces including paintings, sculptures and an impressive weapon collection.

Australia
No one can leave Australia without learning something. Gloucester National Park consists of large karri trees with some of them being around 200 feet tall. The park actually allows visitors to climb some of these trees with the help of metal rods that act as a staircase that spirals around the tree trunks. The Australian War Memorial offers visitors a glimpse into the past of Australia. Not only do they have amazing statues and dioramas, but they also depict interactive scenes from past battles. There are so many exhibits that it can be difficult to try to see them all in just one visit. The Royal Botanic Gardens are located in the middle of Sydney and offer a retreat to the busyness of the city. Visitors can get a phenomenal view of the harbour while they see the gorgeous flowers and ponds with ducks swimming around in them.

Galapagos Islands
There are a lot of adventures and educational activities to be had on the Galapagos Islands. It is a very diverse area and most visitors only get to see it on a short excursion during a cruise. For those near Isabela, Los Tuneles is a must see. Visitors can get a great view of the lava tunnels, especially if you go during low tide. There’s a variety of unique wildlife here including seahorses, marine iguanas and penguins. Kicker Rock is one of the best places in the area to snorkel. One of the most interesting things about it is the volcanic plug of sorts that jets out of the water. You can’t actually go into the plug, but you can snorkel around it. Just be prepared for the large amount of small sharks in the area.

These are just some of the educational trips that you can take. No matter where you go there’s bound to be something you can learn all while having fun at the same time.
