My Number 1 Travel Tip

855

No need for a top ten list here. My number 1 travel tip is…Drink a lot of water.

Whether you are visiting a cool destination like Antarctica or traveling to the Pyramids of Giza, carry a bottle of water. I’ve found that it’s easy to get dehydrated while on vacation. Outside of your normal routine, you might be inclined to grab a soda or alcoholic drink instead of a glass of water.  Those are fine choices but remember nothing beats a good glass of H2O to keeping you going.

Ten facts about water:

  • 70-75% of an adult’s body is made up of water.
  • 95% of a tomato is water.
  • A human can survive for about a month without food, but only about a week without water.
  • 97 % of earth’s water is in the oceans.
  • Water is made up of two elements, Hydrogen and Oxygen. 2 Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen = H2O.
  • 75% of your brain is water.
  • The average person in the United States uses 80 to 100 gallons of water each day
  • Water boils at 212o F
  • Water expands by 9% when it freezes.
  • The amount of water on earth has remained the same for two billion years.

Drink up and safe travels
