All inclusive resorts are great because everything is included. However, this can be dangerous if you are health conscious or just watching your weight. With food all around you it can be difficult to not lose control and to eat it all. Fortunately, there are some ways that you can stay fit while you are at an all inclusive resort.
Don’t Go Back For Seconds
At many all inclusive resorts a lot of your meals will come from buffets. What this means is that you can keep going back for more food and seriously stuff yourself. While at the time this may seem like a good idea, your waistline certainly won’t thank you later. Stick to just one plate and don’t go back for seconds.
Be Careful When It Comes To The Amount Of Alcohol You Consume
Your all inclusive resort may also included unlimited amounts of alcohol. Unfortunately, this can come with a huge weight gain. If you really want to drink, try to stick to vodka sodas or lightbears. One of the worst things you can have is a fruity drink, such as a margarita, as these types of drinks are packed with calories and sugar.
Drink Plenty Of Water
It’s all too easy to go for a soda and skip drinking water when you are on vacation. It’s important to not skimp on the water as you can end up feeling over caffeinated and dehydrated. Make it a point to drink a glass of water before every meal. If you are going out for a walk around the property, do it with a water bottle in hand so that you can sip some water along the way.
Don’t Just Lounge Around
Sure, you are on vacation and want to relax, but don’t spend all of your days just lounging around. Make sure you fit in some physical fitness each day. Your resort will probably have all sorts of activities that you can participate in. If all else fails you can do a few laps in the pool, go for a brisk hike or hit up the resort’s gym. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as it gets your heart rate up.
Eat One Healthy Meal A Day
You do certainly want to indulge when you are on vacation, but your body still needs good food. Focus on eating at least one healthy meal a day. It should be packed with fresh fruits and vegetables. Fortunately, many all inclusive resorts do have all sorts of healthy options available like salads and fresh fruit.
