Celebrity CruisesNew Apex Cruise Ship
Celebrity Cruises Celebrity Apex is scheduled to debut in Europe in March. She promises to be better than the Celebrity Edge which was a wildly successful ship first introduced by Celebrity Cruises in 2018. The biggest changes with the Apex involve the entertainment. Three new stage shows are set for the Theatre, along with new technology such as towering LED screens that curve around the stage to make the performances more immersive and exciting.

An eye-candy tech show called “Crystalize” is planned with lasers, video, aerial acrobats and an underwater ballet sequence made possible by a towering scrim with eight 20K laser projectors that creates a 360-degree, wraparound picture for the audience. “Rocumentary” stars classic rock moments from Wembley Stadium to Woodstock. In a twist, the audience gets to decide the finale by voting in advance using the Celebrity app. “Tree of Life” is a “feel-good” show featuring a twenty foot tall tree with more than 3000 LED leaves.

Eden, the triple-deck, glass-walled lounge in the aft of the ship, will have a theme that changes daily, with daytime activities that are carried through in the nighttime entertainment. An example of this is a daytime meditation followed by a “Night of Chill”, an ultra-lounge concept with acoustic music. Another day, interactive art experiences will lead into “Night of the Arts”, with interactive performances. The ship’s nightclub, the Club, will provide more intimate cabaret-style entertainment such as new takes on classic circus acts with aerial acrobatics. During the day, “The Club” will host activities such as live-band karaoke to archery and dance classes

For dining, new and expanded menu offerings are planned. Signature dishes are being created for each of the four main dining rooms: Cosmopolitan is American with international influences, Cyprus is Mediterranean, Normandie is French and Tuscan is Italian. An enlarged galley enables expanded offerings in Raw on 5 and the Magic Carpet, the movable, cantilevered platform that is the hallmark of the Edge series. The Fine Cut Steakhouse will be getting upgraded proteins and the Rooftop Garden Inn will be adding new items. The Apex will be adding the Craft Social Bar, a casual spot offering draft  cocktails and wines on tap with Celebrity-style comfort food.

In the spa, Apex will offer F45 training; 45 minute training sessions involving Cardiovascular, strength and interval training. A new Women in Wellness program will also be offered. The Celebrity Apex is elevated to the next level.
